They just put “build” candy in the store. Candy corn, pumpkins, candy bars, gummy bears. I desperately need candy bars but they are twice the price of everything else (40 donuts for 100 as opposed to 20 for others) and I’m not going to spend nearly all my donuts (I’m down to 56) to get candy bars for the Grand Pumpkin. According to the TSTO wiki it “improves the Tree-hugging rating and allows the building of the Pumpkin House.”
The Pumpkin House doesn’t look like it does anything useful. “Together the two items started a Quest,” it says. Then Homer can try to eat the Pumpkin House for 24 hours.
You guys that have the Pumpkin House from before…anything good come from it?
I’m just going to keep scratching and see if I can’t get this stupid Grand Pumpkin on my own.
The pumpkin house is nothing special. It’s a house that looks like a pumpkin. Usually it pays out like a normal house, but during this event it pays out 1 single pumpkin per 24 hours. Not much. I’d wait and see if you like the Rigellian Queen and hut better.
That’s what I’m saving my chocolate bars for. I’ll get the Grand Pumpkin if I have enough at the end.
I started hoarding my bags today. I’m on track to get the Hover-Copter and have crafted (or won) at least one of everything so far. Might as well get a jump start on protein strings.
The THOH marathon today is just perfect. It’s always fun to be like “Hey, I have that” when some weird thing shows up, even if I’ve seen all the episodes several times.
Copter obtained last night (it has even less animation than the Grand Pumpkin, but at least I can point the guns at the Guinea Pig Rescue Center or something)

Also, nice touch EA, having the bouncy-house tying up all the kids who are supposed to be trick or treating.
You are aware that you can choose to wait to finish a quest, aren’t you? My bouncy-house is not tying up anyone. It will still be there when the Halloween event is over.
Personally, I’m waiting to build the spooky house for Hugo, who sadly does not Trick-or-Treat or Moonbounce. Need more fences, which I can’t buy (at least last time I checked) even if I wanted to.
I just got my helicopter so I’m prized out for the second phase. With that done, I’ve sent Nelson on his 12 hour task for his mom’s quest and I think I’ll start stockpiling the bags as well until time runs out this week. I’m going to be offline for much of this weekend so feel free to send your gremlins my way on Saturday and Sunday.
It was more of a rhetorical question. I knew the answer. It’s more that I don’t understand the frustration/annoyance/impatience some have in a non-competitive game. But hey, different strokes and all that.
Again one of the updates has turned off my ‘confirm donut spend’ option and cost me 12 donuts. Obviously because I* really* wanted to speed up pimento grove to get my $350 right away. Complete bullshit.
I’ve had most of this past week off of work and have been logging in 5-6 times a day or more, and I’m not close. I don’t know how some of you have numbers so high or are getting the top prizes so early.
I only have 4500 Ray guns with 1 day and 14 hours left on phase 2. I knew I wouldn’t make it to the hover copter so I have been stockpiling eggs and treat bags. Right now I have:
29 eggs
67 bronze treat bags
32 silver treat bags
9 gold treat bags
I’m on track to get the 'copter today and haven’t been logging in more than that, I don’t think. The only premium trick-or-treater I have is Squeaky Voiced Teen. I’ve just been diligent to visit the max number of friends each day and making sure all my kids are out earning bags as constantly as possible.
