I want the steel factory and they’re not offering it! This is an outrage! Jebus darn them to heck!
Whenever Gil shows up, the thumbs-up symbols go away until I do a “full stop” of the game.
Springfield Heights update today includes lots of land in both the heights and regular springfield. A quick blink-and-you-miss-it bit of dialog with Ned says Christmas starts next week.
Because what I needed in life was more Springfield Heights content.
Yeah, but at least you can ignore it
FWIW you could have gone to the Friends map and come back instead of “rebooting” the game. Most of the time that clears up any glitches with the main game.
I am just not getting the appeal to SH. Not only is the grinding too time consuming, the buildings are so obnoxiously big they look terrible. I don’t even want the items.
They should give players the option to choose something premium once they reach a specified level. Give us some options and a reason to play, at least.
If they stopped the SH thing tomorrow, I wouldn’t miss it.
App store update: Christmas is here. Looking better than Halloween. Better prizes, less annoying game play… at least it is on first look. I retain my right to call it worst update ever after a few days.
The most important thing rumored to be coming (not sure if part of Christmas or an upcoming level or what)
Maggie, the one-browed baby, that psychotic babysitter who robbed the house way back in S1? S2? are all supposed to come a couple days before Christmas.
It’s about freaking time
The unibrow baby’s name is Gerald (no last name known), and the Babysitter Bandit, Lucille Botz, was in the last episode of season 1. Trivia: that episode was supposed to be in the season premiere, but when it came back from the Korean animators, it was so bad that they sent it back, and waited in fear to see if the second episode was any better, or if they would have to delay the series, if not cancel it before a single episode aired.
Is the naughty or nice thing the prisoner’s dilemma?
I’ve found you can keep getting the points/money and just not put the additions on the buildings. I know they were saying earlier that you can store the buildings, but I haven’t tried that. I just stored all the add-on stuff and as I upgrade the buildings I just let that stuff pile up in my inventory. This way I can push all the (now smaller) buildings wherever they fit and not worry about spending currency on land in SH.
What do you mean by “points/money”? My buildings never gave me any money… And I read somewhere that some buildings do give out hidden XP, but I never looked into how much.
There are a few things I’ve read that people are seeing that I do not. Maybe this is why they like SH. Some people have stated they can build more than 10 condos, for example. So if you are getting extra money and XP, I can see some value in that.
I have never seen any ability to make more buildings. (Nor do I want to).
Whoever came up with this grinding concept should be beaten with a rubber hose. I am still working on “Lodging a Complaint” questline.
There’s that house with the 1000 next to it. Each time you ‘level up’ a building in SH, you get more of whatever you want to call that. I don’t know how far along others are, currently I’m on the task where I have to get up to $5m (I’m at about 4.3m).
There’s a certain building in SH with a permanent something or other hovering above it (a house? a dollar sign?) that you can click on to see where you stand.
I think that’s Cookie’s real estate office.
Yep. Best result is if you are naughty and they are nice, but both nice is much better than both naughty. Of course you usually don’t get to see a history of previous interactions with your usual prisoners dilemma.
How do you get presents anyway?
For me anyway, this was a huge update on android. It was like it was installing the whole game over again.
Yup. If you are naughty and the other person is nice, then you make out with 25 bows. If you’re both nice you each get 15. If you’re nice and the other person is naughty, you get 1. I don’t know what happens if you’re both naughty. I’m doing just nice to maximize for myself overall.
I guess people are deleting some friends for not being “nice” enough in the scoreboard listings. Firstly, the counter is off and not reliable, I guess. Secondly, I hate reading about people deleting friends for not playing the right way. I’d rather have someone visit me and be naughty than nothing.
You get five per 24 hour cycle. You only get five total, not five per friend’s Springfield.
I guess with the snow decoration, you really are installing the game over, as it seems to have replaced every building with a snow covered one.
I want Patches and Poor Violet, so I guess I’ll have to take my phone with me and grind, grind, grind.
Five each if you’re both naughty.
Sounds like a Game Theory problem.
If the neighbor is nice, you get 15 if you’re nice and 25 if you’re naughty.
If the neighbor is naughty, you get 1 if you’re nice and 5 if you’re naughty.
Regardless of what your neighbor does, you are better off being naughty.
However, I’ll probably end up being nice to everybody, as I am not as interested in the top-level prizes as much as others seem to be.
FYI if you don’t drop off your five for the day, you do NOT have 10 the next day. I skipped visits yesterday because sometime I am tapped out and had just five still today. I guess the timer starts when you drop your first of five and you have 24 hours to drop the other four and get five new.
Thanks. I had no idea. I did see Number 1 has a task that permits him to earn coffees at 10 at a time, but I thought thst was a 1x thing. Does $1000 in real estate even make a dent in your totals?
