Well I did it. Deleted off my phone. End of an era. I finished the last missions then I was looking around a bit to see if there was anything I wanted to get that I didn’t have before but then figured what’s the point
I remember hearing about it being one of the first real “games” for the somewhat new “smartphones”
The season premiere this week was a gag about it being the final episode and my kid was like “wouldn’t it be funny if the whole thing was just about the end of the game?” haha no it wouldn’t be. 
it was not, however. Just a way to grind my gears
Unless they release additional ‘Taps’ packs (they’ve released 3 so far), looks like I’m going to end with 648 characters. (I found # via the employment office).
I’ll miss it when it’s gone. I started with it in 2012 or 2013. I always played anonymously so when that phone died in 2020 I had to start over. I’ll spend the remaining time spending donuts and money on characters I couldn’t be bothered with previously.
I had 648 this morning as well but I also had 648 after I sent my pessimists to go complain about reboots, so I’m not sure now. I haven’t found the most updated answer yet but Google search results show me 443, 564, and 585. Obviously, these are not updated numbers. I hope they put out another Taps pack this week.
I’ve read that there will be 5 packs. My plan is to purchase every single character / skin / NPC I can. I have (I think) about 680 active characters.
And part 4 dropped.
According to the character sets, I still have a way to go so I’m looking forward to the next pack. In the meantime, I got a lot from Pack 4.
The Bourbon Street band has a 4% bonus at 30 donuts, so that’s not a bad deal.
Since the last event (and, I guess it really is the last event!), with Delbert and the desert dragon sculptures, my bonus is up to 4131.85%
This one has about a week to live… anyone still playing?
Yep. Previously I was a donut hoarder, not spending them unless I really wanted something. When the shutdown was announced I started spending on anything that would produce a new character or interesting building.
Still playing though I’m usually only playing once a day. I bought all the characters and unique builds that I could get (there are some characters that weren’t made available). I got a bunch of decorations from the Wacking Day event because they have a nice % boost plus earn money and are small.
I didn’t see the point. It was kind of depressing. I deleted it.
I have 16,400+% (82,000% with the 5x multiplier thingy) so I decided for one last full-investment day, where I put all characters on 24 hour jobs and then see how many donuts I collect with the building and people rewards.
I first pressed on the finger which would give me the building rewards… and was promptly reminded why I’m not too sad to see this one go when the stupid thing lost its ever-so-vital attachment to the server, causing me to lose 80% of my building donuts.
Damned game. Will be back tomorrow to try again!
… and I didn’t. Oh well.
