It does, but even by that guide, I should be getting prompted to build the Java Server and the Truffel
(to clarify, I got Tatum, but he wants the Gilded Truffle, which I also can’t build
)

I got held up at the Guilded Truffle and Java Server as well. I just got past those a few days ago but now I’m circling back to the tasks that lead to King Toots. I’ve had a space reserved next to Moe’s for quite a while in anticipation of that.
Nevermind–the page Trion linked to gave one important tip–free everyone up at once. I’m now building the Java Server, Thanks Trion!
Glad to help.
Also, you should know there’s currently a mix-up with the hospital. You’ll get about halfway through Dr. Hibbert’s quest line and it will stop. Don’t worry, it will pick up again after you build Burn’s mansion.
Yeah, if you need buildings or quests, always free everyone up at once and look for the speech bubble. You will usually get one this way.
Anyone have any money making tips? Blue house farms or something? I’m tired of always being completely broke.
How much time do you have on your hands? If you look at my city, I’ve got two rows of brown houses (not sure how many), but as long as I’m just sitting there watching TV or something, those two rows of houses bring in $150 every three minutes. Call it $1500 an hour since I don’t actually sit there and start at the tablet the entire hour (in a perfect world it would be $3000 an hour) and I have other things to do. Plus, during those times, I give every one short jobs. Usually an hour or less. If I’m just waiting for something to happen (like something has 10 minutes left), I’ll even give Ned and Apu the 45s jobs over and over.
Use farms of other house colors if you’re not going to be around as much. The brown houses give you money every 3 minutes, the others are a few hours.
Right now, I’m trying to steal some ideas from other people and rearrange my city. I don’t like the way it’s set up and I really like how other people have their cities set up. The first thing I need to do is buy some more land, if for no other reason, so I have some space to work.
Also, I have about 500 eggs or so if anyone wants to trade.
I had a “farm” of houses for the first 25 levels or so, then I reduced it so it looks more like a subdivision. It was uglier then, but it did warrant me enough cash to advance.
I suggest Purple and Blue houses, as they fit my schedule where I would check a few times during the day and get money. I’d avoid Orange houses, as they cost a fortune. White houses, too, though I like their look the most and use them as decorations in town.
I hated the look of my farm for a long time, but I think it is essential in the early levels. Eventually you get some money makers and can reduce them. Also, send the people on the shortest possible tasks you can. It’s better to do short quests if you check often.
I always check the clock and estimate the next time I’ll likely be free at all, then set everyone to tasks about that time.
And wait, sometimes days, to buy anything.
I feel that blue houses are the best value, at least they make back their cost more quickly and don’t take up a lot of room. I got rid of most of my brown houses as I don’t just sit there and click on money-I spend enough time doing my daily actions.
I found this article on the pros and cons of different houses.
Thanks! I appreciate it. I’ll “pay it forward” and share my egg wealth with others who have asked for eggs in this thread too.
That list pretty much confirms my feeling. Purple and Blue houses are the best. I only build the others 'cause they look cool.
After everyone is wandering around with no tasks, go to the “other Springfields”, like you’re going to drop eggs (or vandalize Moe’s)., then click back to your Springfield.
The game “Synchronizes” at this point, and might bring up more voice bubbles / quests.
The Be Sharps will be performing in my Springfield for the next few hours with a special appearance by Kearny if any one is interested.
Very cool, thanks for sharing.
I don’t know if I’ll get there in time. Is getting the stage worth it? Isn’t it 50 donuts or something? I do have some donuts available, but I’m waiting for the right reason to use 'em.
2600 more snakes for me to the arena. I just dropped a ton off for you, Antigen.
Thank for all the help. I got Lisa’s Gymnastic mat! I have about 70 eggs, who is still looking to make a goal?
I am.
I am in a 1:1 egg thing with USC, but I did give you ~40 eggs since you are just starting off.
Sorry, USC, I thought NAF needed it. I’ll dump ~50 on you again tonight.
Dropped some off for you.
I’m 425 snakes away from the last prize (Motel?) so if anyone has any to spare, I’d appreciate it.
