I just got the third community prize, the Ghost Bomb.
How do I see the current community status now? Before, I was clicking on the shadowed out area that the ghost bomb was in.

That’s weird, my Springfield says there are still about 5 million goo to go before I get the ghost bomb.
The ghost bomb seems pretty pointless.
Visit a neighbor and pop back to your town. It should sync and give you the prize.
I only care about King Kong Homer now.

Started two days ago because of this thread. So many Homer quests!
Not yet, I’m around 1400. I just got a pop up like a level up where donuts are offered. If you don’t get three on the first try, you can try again for $5000.
You get those boxes when you’re already at level 35 and you max out your XP, or when you collect 2,000 goo. It’s not a scheduled thing that everyone gets on a certain day.
Yeah but I’m in the middle of XP needed to level up and it said that it was a Halloween treat. I’m not crazy, yo!
Yes, but you’ll get that bonus box for every 2000 GOO after you get all 10 prizes. So at 12,000 and 14,000 and 16,000…
Anyone else having server/login issues today?
I’ve been having them on and off for the last few days. And my games have crashed pretty regularly since the last update. I’ve never had issues prior to that.

I can’t get the “It’s Pronounced Nu-cular” quest to show up even though I’m the right level. Anyone know if there’s something else I have to do first?
Sometimes it just takes time for a quest to start. Usually the problem is that the character you need in order to start the quest is already doing a task. And, at times, it’s a peripheral character who starts things and sends other characters off to do the questing without otherwise being involved. Apu is the one that sets off your quest, even though you wouldn’t otherwise think of him involved with the plant. He needs electricity for his store, if I remember it correctly. You need to keep him free.
Ah that’s it. I thought it was higher than 2000, but I’m still not crazy.
I’ve got a certificate to prove it.
As I recall the first month or so of the game involved a lot of ‘help, I’m stuck’ and it turned out you just needed to relax and it would move forward when it was ready. Maybe there was some other trigger (time, money, donuts, random counter), but usually the next thing would start within a day or two.
Also, something else that often worked (well, sometimes) was making sure everyone was free and then going to another Springfield and coming back.
Keep in mind that most of us have been playing for 6 months to a year. There are 35 levels right now, by the time you get to the last level there will probably be 40, plan on that taking 4 or 5 months. So don’t get too worried if you get ‘stuck’ for a day here and there.
It’s more of the fact that I need to start that quest to proceed in the Ghost in the Machine quest, which I’m assuming I can’t do anymore after Nov. 7.
