I have, at least twice now, gotten a Mr. Burns Mystery Box within a Mr. Burns Mystery Box as a “thanks for playing today” prize. Usually I get hedges, brown fences, and twice I got a gazebo, but one time I did get a lemon tree.
I keep getting things like Angel Topiaries and Gazebos out of the Mystery Boxes. Occasionally I get a new Mystery Box. Once I got a Homer Buddha, which gave me the totally useless Squeaky Voiced Teen as I had already bought him (as detailed upthread.) These days I just sell most of the stuff or never take it out of inventory.
You all should build a Squidport tile, and not collect it. Just let it hover. Every time a friend taps it during a visit, you get a free extra tile. I’ve gotten 12 or 13 free boardwalk tiles so far. Hurry up, before EA patches this!
When you said it I had just started building one, it should be done later today, I’ll leave it alone, I won’t need it any time soon. I hate that they have pretty much abandoned Squidport and Krustyland, but I keep building tiles and banking tickets in case they start doing something with them again.\
Also, I seem to be stuck in the Bullies quest. It told me to have the business owners talk to Fat Tony (0/5). Apparently I only have 4 business owners (Apu, Comic Book Guy, Luigi and up, one other one that’s slipping my mind) so when they were done it changed to 4/5 so I put Apu back in for another 12 hour shift. We’ll see if that finishes up that part of the quest.
Heh. It’s probably not as exciting to players to have been around a while and have already built a ton of port tiles. I just started playing in August and I had almost no tiles (and a day and a half per tile is excruciatingly slow).
Ive seen a couple cool Squidport designs, so I hope to do one of those without having to wait half a year or so.
As friends start clicking on your tile, multiple handshake icons should start stacking up above your Squidport. You can collect these one at a time. Just remember that you have to leave one handshake floating, or you’ll collect your original tile and have to start building a new one all over again.
If you can coordinate with friends, you can get 3 tiles per friend per day. The trick is that you have to collect the handshake before they go back into your Springfield to click on the tile again.
Exactly. Each tap only collects one handshake, so if you’re careful, it’s not too hard to avoid collecting the last handshake.
ETA: But for God’s sake, don’t try to collect the XP and tile when it pops out of the handshake. Just let it sit and auto-collect. It’s too dangerous to be tapping around your last handshake.
