Okay, i mangled my firstattempt at running the game (generated too many families and was getting disorganized…)
so i packaged up all my existing families and reset the game (on a Mac, a simple matter of deleting the “EA Games” folder from the Documents folder and having it rebuild a new one from scratch the next time the game is run, also makes backing up your Sims a breeze, simply burn the “EA Games Sims 2” folder to a CD/DVD…)
i created my own lot called “The Uncharted Terrirtories” (all the houses have Farscape related names) and placed my backed up families there…
second step, go into Strangetown and create a Sim that looks/acts remarkably like the character of Marv from “Sin City”, first step, get him abducted…
he never gets abducted, instead, falls in love with Bella Goth and ends up getting her pregnant, then breaks up with her while she’s still preggers, jerk…
no sooner than an hour after he’s broken up with her, he’s puttin’ the moves on Melanie, a townie, they fall in love and get married, sje gets preggers that night…
(Marv seems intent on populating Strangetown with little Marvs, doesn’t he?)
i figure, Marv needs to be punished for his less than gentelmanly behavior with Bella, with the help of the handy litle “BoolProp” cheat, i get him abducted…
and he comes back pregnant…
so now, both he and his wife will be sharing the experiences of pregnancy/birth at the same time…
(they’ll need a bigger house soon…)
experiment 2;
A.K.A. “Make Pleasantville (A.K.A. “Boringville”) less pleasant and more strange/fun”
created a pair of identical twin sisters with identical genetic structure (Yuki and Miho Kwani), moved them into a shoebox house, tried to get them to fall in love with the residents of Boringville…
they were obsessed with each other, eventually falling in love with each other and marrying
…with the help of BoolProp again, they’re now pregnant with each other’s babies (and since they’re identical genetically, the results could be, well, anything), time to see if intermarrying causes any recessive traits in this family, which is quickly becoming my “unforked family tree” family…
experiment 3; in the planning stages…
i’ll have Johnny Smith grow up into an adult (naturally, no BoolProp this time…), then fall in love with one of the alien Singles family, and see if i can breed out those pesky Human genes…
…naybe i’ll even package that house up and move 'em to Boringtown, just to liven things up…
…the experiments continue, dear Og i’ve got an evil streak in me
note to self…try to cut back on the use of the BoolProp cheat, it’s far too powerful and can ruin the game… Z(then again, i’m not a big fan of the career track and schol and crap like that, i like to see how the Sims interpersonal relationships react when poked and prodded…
for example, if you have a married Sim that wants to WooHoo with another sim they’re not married to, make sure your spouse is well out of earshot, as WooHoo is…rather loud, and Family aspiration Sims don’t take kindly to cheatin’…
Marv found that one out the hard way…
