the Sing yer li'l ol' heart out MMP

Good morning! I hate being under pressure like this. All night I dream about working, then I have to come to work and actually do it. If I could do it in my sleep, I wouldn’t have to come in at all!

Ok - I’m through surfing the intertoobs.

::cracks whip::

As soon as **FCD **gets home from Lowe’s, I’ve got a vanload of trash and recycling to load and haul. I also picked up yard poop - all the while being eaten alive by skeeters… I liked it better when Bernie was young and would go into the wooded part of the yard to poo. Now, in her dotage, she goes out the door and immediately squats. I need to just follow her with a bag and clean as she goes.

I also loaded the dishwasher and clipped my toenails - not at the same time, of course. :stuck_out_tongue:

I am back from the wedding, it was fun, I was drunk. That about sums it up! Oh, and I wore my fab new shoes all night too. There you have it, wedding in a nutshell!

'im indoors is having a snooze then in a couple of hours we’re off to another friend’s house for the grand opening ceremony for the new ferret palace he’s built for his furry friends. The old hutch and run they used has seen better days so he’s been constructing a new home for them, it’s a small shed which will have access to an outdoor run for them and it means they’ll have more room to play in. His girlfriend is making tea for us too so that will be yummy.

Then home in the evening for some sofa time, I think.

BooFae an afternoon of tea and ferrets? I am so extremely jealous! Especially if tea time spills over into cocktail time.

EAF left a while ago. Brekkie got et and the dishes got cleaned up. Bear is thinkin’ it’s nappy poo time cause I got up too early.

Soapy I want a creme brulee torch but keep bein’ told I’d have too much fun with it and end up settin’ the place on fire. Unfortunately, I know this is probably true.

Good morning everyone. Coffee is brewing.

When my son gets off work, we’re heading up to my daughter and her boyfriend’s place for a day of relaxation and pool time. They’re going to cook for us too!

That’s about the extent of my plans today.

yeah. a nap sounds good. I have tentative plans for a girls’ night out - waiting to hear from one of the girls.

Just finished mowing the lawn. What a hot, sweaty, dusty, nasty chore that was!! I’m going to cool down a bit before hitting the shower. Then I should get the call from the groomer to pick up my sweet and clean doggies. So yay for that.

**FCD **is in major plumbing mode. He’s installed a tank in the laundry room which will be used for water changes in the aquarium. It’ll siphon out 30 gallons of old water then put in 30 gallons of clean salt water. No more opening a bunch of gallon jugs of water and mixing in salt. We’ll just run our well water thru the filter system and fill the holding tank. Then when the water needs to be changed, we’ll set the valves according to the phase of the change and do it. In theory. We shall see.

Daughter is going kayaking with friends later this afternoon. So it looks like we have custody of the psycho puppy again tonight…rah

That sounds like an awesome set-up, FCM. We end up cleaning our tank less than we should simply because it’s such a pain in the ass. Siphon the water, then bucket after bucket of new water.

Of course, our tank isn’t salt water so it isn’t as sensitive as yours. Right now our tank is looking pretty icky. We’re going to have to break it down completely, to clean it. I hate, hate, hate, hate, washing the gravel and rocks. I may just go out and buy new gravel. We’ve had this gravel for three years now.

Hubby is getting ready to go out and wash his car and then we’ll head up to my daughter’s place. They asked us to stop by the butcher shop and pick up some nice pork chops, so we shall do so.

Up early this morning. I wanted to go over to the store to make sure J got the place opened okay. She did. I needn’t have worried.
Came home and made a scramble for brunch.
Got some soap to package, and then make another batch.

Was going to go into Tigard or McMinneville to get something to fix the old Dell Dimension, but realized this morning that the problem has to be on the motherboard itself, so that’s out.

We’ve got 4 computers, and only the oldest one, a 10+ year old HP Vectra, is still working okay, albeit slowly. I’m starting to consider buying, or building, a new computer.
I’m thinking about building a small form factor box around a mini-ITX board, but I have a question about CPU coolers for the Intel i3 chip, like; does it need a cooler, and if so, where can I get a small enough one for less than ~$100.00.
I can build a pretty good box for about $700.00. I don’t know yet if I can buy one as good for the money. I’m a little dubious about the quality of the stuff you can buy these days. :dubious:

My life is so exciting.

I made it home last night no thanks to United Express and had a fabulous anniversary dinner with mr ems. We had crab cakes then I had chicken piccata and and he had cream of basil pasta with giant shrimp. T’was yummy.

Kinda lazy ish day today laundry is taking a large portion of it so far as well as emptying the fridge of nasty things as mr ems seems to have selective vision when I am gone on items that need to be thrown out. I am gonna throw the last load of laundry in the dryer then eat some lunch and head to the grocery store to get some essentials. Then I am going to look at dining room tables. Fun stuff. What I really want to do is take a nap.

Supper tonight will be grilled sirloins and baked sweet taters and we will generally be lazy slugs.

It’s Saturday. Yay. It’s just me and the pup. Hubby took his mom over to see my SIL and her new grandson for the first time. We have a small car, and therefore no room for five. Hubby and kids went. I couldn’t.

Awww Annie you had to stay home all by yourself with just the doggy for company. That’s just awful!

I made a batch of cheese crisps for a reception after deheathenization tomorow. Tomorrow is our summer intern’s last Sunday with us. She’s spendin’ a couple weeks with her folks and then headin’ back to New Yawk City for her last year of school at General Seminary. We Whiskypalians like namin’ our seminaries fancy names. Seminary is a word that looks kinda dirty don’t it!

That’s the excitatement from swampland. Dindin shall either be sammiches or swipin’ General Tso’s dindin. If’n it’s General Tso’s dindin then OYKW shall go and fetch cause I ain’t. I’m good with sammiches myself.

Have dropped of niece and am now at brother’s watching Home Improvement with nephew who is also playing some video game.

We went to the nice French pastry shop right before we left Columbus, thus completing a trifecta.

Hugs all.

GT

Doggies are home, cleaned and pressed. All the critters have been fed and **FCD **is still monkeying around with his system. The pump appears to have a leak.

I stopped at an Amish stand on the way home and got some peaches and a melon. I’m trying to decide between peach crisp, peach cobbler, or peach french toast casserole. I should probably peel and slice the peaches and see how many I have so I can decide.

I also need to plan for the inlaws’ visit. I’m not used to feeding 6. Daughter has requested lasagna. My mom invited us all up for one meal. And we’re taking them to our new favorite place in Leonardtown. So that’s 3 of the 9. I figure I’ll rotiss a chicken one night, do a meatloaf, a ham, a pot roast, a poke tenderloin, and maybe burgers and dogs on the grill… There, all planned.

She’s not much company right now: she’s still sleeping a good bit cause of the spay. Right now she’s asleep in front of the door waiting for everybody else to come home.

Even though I’m glad my MIL finally gets to see her youngest grandchild, I’m not happy with this. He could have taken her during the week while I’m at work. I like to spend the weekends with my family.

Mom, Paula Deen’s peach cobbler is nummy! iffen you wanna try it. We only used about half the butter she says to though.

Peach cobbler is always the right choice. Sheesh! I mean, how could there possibly be any debate about this. Ok, other than peach french toast casserole and peach crisp are also good. However, peach cobbler goes best with a big ol’ scoop of ice cream on top, so, peach cobbler for the win!

Dindin ended up bein’ a sammich for me (ham, turkey, lettuce, tomato, pepperjack cheese, mustard, mayo with chips and an ice cold tasty beerverage) and cheese crisps for OYKW cause he scarfed down all the extra ones I make just so I don’t have to deal with a certain spoiled brat who shall remain nameless but his initials are OYKW poutin’ cause he didn’t get any special ones just for himself. I’ll leave it up to y’all to guess who that is.

Actually, swampy, I’m thinking I’ll make my MIL’s peach streusal pie instead - tomorrow - because I’m just too tired to peel and slice all them peaches now… we had to run some errands and just got back. There’s no way I’m building the casserole now. We’ll just have regular french toast instead. I hath spokended.

I’m thinking it’s about time to mosey back to bed, assume the crochet position for a little bit, then saw some wood. I’s tahred…

I worked, I napped, now it’s beer and Bachelor food time.

So, it was just me and one friend. She came over, we ordered in Chinese, then went out to see Dinner For Schmucks. Very very funny movie. I highly recommend it.
