I was singing at a “Last Night of the Proms” concert last night. During the second half the stage manager came on holding up a big hand-written notice: IT’S A GIRL! That caused a huge cheer and the subsequent audience renditions of Rule Britannia, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory were thunderous.
I was just checking my email and there was a news blurb about the new baby. It said:
The thing is when you just glance at text the capitalized words stand out. So for half a second, I thought Prince William and Duchess Kate had named their new baby Lindo Wing.
They should name her after her cousin Beatrice, so that if Prince George doesn’t inherit, she can be Queen Bea.
I’d be really surprised if Diana was in there. Maybe Frances.
Charlotte is a late-breaking favorite, so I’m going with Charlotte Elizabeth Mary.
I’m assuming we can rule out Wallis.

Possibly an Alice or a Louisa as one of the middle names.
My paternal grandmother gave her children two middle names, and one aunt got a set that isn’t totally outside the realm of possibility. She was Charlotte Sophia Louisa.
