Woohoo!! Spider woman! Yeehaw!!
What a cool lady!!
(BTW, did you watch Barenboim? Wasn’t it great?!)
I’ve already bought you a drink in the other thread, but here’s another Diet Mt. Dew for ya. And one for me.

‘scuse me!’ :o
There once was a poster named Spider
who had tons of limericks inside her.
What’s more, she’s quite sweet,
someone I’d like to meet:
thatWoman makes all our days brighter!
“A Bride’s maid but never a bride”,
I said taking it all in stride,
The significant part,
is straight from my heart,
To post a rhyme first, well I tried.
Ms Spider is friend to us all,
I picture her standing quite tall,
Kind words and a smile,
She’s truly worthwhile,
Her critics must surely be small.
And let’s not forget Spider’s team,
Perfection is not just their dream,
I should have guessed,
that her Vikes would be best,
To the top, they have risen like cream!
Yay Spider Woman!!! I can’t express how much you mean to me, and all the other people on this board. You are one of the largest bits of glue that holds the place together. For certain, you’re one of my role models here, and I hope to be able to show at least half the compassion that you do each and every day. Keep up the good work, we luvs ya!
This morning I crawled out of bed
(which on Mondays I usually dread)
and found a surprise
before my startled eyes:
Anthracite gave me this thread.
This is what I believe:
for the little I give I receive
a hundred-fold more
from the folks I adore.
I hope all my friends never leave.

[And Do Re Mi, why didn’t you call? Dad was frantic!]
Spider Woman kicks some serious arachnid ass!
Go girl!
I am happy to see that you all feel the same way I have felt for sometime now. If you ever get to meet her in person you will see just how genuine her sensitivity and thoughtfulness are. If my mother were still alive, I could tell her I’m in love with and live with a Spider.
Just saw the thread, could not agree more! Spider Woman is a real gift to the board.
There once was a rhyming arachnid
Whose posts I enjoyed 'cause she acted
Whith class and with poise
Avoided bad noise
And her posts never need be retracted
sili
Thanks Anthracite for starting the thread.
Thanks again, everyone, for the posts, the limericks and good wishes!

What a great start to the week!
Silver Fire dances around and sings…
I get to meet her! I get to meet her!!
Spidey
I know I have said this before, and it’s been said before here already, but it bears repeating.
You are truly one of the people here that I look up to. You are kind and smart and funny, and you never appear to post without really thinking through how your post is going to effect the person you are interacting with.
I hope the people who love you IRL value you the way you deserve to be valued. I don’t have to wonder about that on this board, because it is clear that we do. And you deserve every nice thing that anyone has said. And more.
(((((((((Spidey))))))))))
Glad to see someone work to “make a name” for themselves without a) having to know nukaler fizziks 2) or taking the low road.
I take my hat off to you.

(ahem, mi,mi,mi)
spider woman, spider woman, friendly neighbourhood spider woman…
something…something…hummmmm… hummmm…
hooray for spider woman!
Here here. Spidey is one of the nicer people around here. And she has eight shapely legs to boot.
I’ve already met her! I’ve already met her!!
And, yes, she’s every bit as nice and sweet IRL as she is here Am happy to have met you, dear, and am looking forward to seeing you again!! Pick a movie, any movie - I’ll show up, I swear
Oh, my! I just saw this thread. Of course, I had to come post to one of the sweetest people on this board. Every time I have the pleasure of reading one of your posts, I get a smile, a warm feeling inside, a joy at getting to know you. You are one of the classiest women I know, and funny to boot! <all 8 of’em!:p> Thank you for gracing us with your posts, your kind, thoughtful words, and some great smiles too along this road we call life.
{{{{{{{{Spidey}}}}}}}}
You rock, Spider Woman. Your intelligence and kindness add tangibly to the board. You’re the coolest arachnid since Charlotte.
My sweet imthjckaz is snoring, so I am up for a while. Anyone old enough to remember Romper Room in the fifties, with the magic mirror? The nice teacher would look though a hand held mirror with the glass taken out, and would mention different names each day of us little kiddies out in TV land, and sometimes she’d say my name, or my brother’s name, and we’d be so thrilled (I think this was between the ages of two and four)!
To me, the Internet is magic. I can talk to people I have never met, and become close to them. I can click on the little red houses under their posts (thanks, Cajun Man!) and see their homepages and pictures.
So, I’ll hold up my magic mirror, and try to thank each of you personally.
Anthracite, oh high vampire priestess, thank you for the surprise of my life, and making my Monday a great day! And thank you for all your clever, witty and funny posts, and the thoughtful and cheering ones too.
Idnew, nice to talk with you outside the pit; that place is waaaay too hot right now. Thanks for stopping by!
Baskety, thanks for the beautiful basketry! Spiders and basket weavers have much in common.
To sandyr, who is warm and funny on the boards and in person, and to all my other Minnesota friends, including BlackKnight and Silver Fire, I am looking forward to our Central Minnesota Dope Fest!
Cajun Man, I have enjoyed e-mailing with you, and someday I will figure out a homepage too. You are my role mode.
Thanks and hugs, ////AudreyK\\!
Sweet Sue, I must have left out the _ in your e-mail address the first time. Nice to finally hook up!
Enderw23 (blush)that tingling is just an itsy bitsy bit of spider venom from that bite (but of course, since I am vegetarian, I didn’t chew or swallow)(bweee teee heee).

Hey slythe! Thanks for stopping by, and shipping us over here.
DRY, I have often admired your Shakespearean quotes. My youngest daughter walks around quoting parts of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, most often Helena’s Your virtue is my priviledge. . . . I think my favorite is Portia’s The qualitiy of mercy is not strained. . . from The Merchant of Venice.
Keep those posts coming, bwk, newbies like you are always welcome!

tatertot, I’ve enjoyed our correspondence, and your witty posts and the tales of your family. Warm wishes to the tots!
Zenster, thanks for all your warmth and support. I have your recipe thread bookmarked, and when I grow up I’m going to learn how to cook.
TwistofFate, FairyChatMom, screech-owl and Tabithina, thank you so much for your support and punny contributions at the SDMB Virtual Garage Sale (and to everyone else who helped or ate pizza or stopped by)! And Tabithina, we miss you at the limerick thead! [Twisty, may I use your version of my spider?]
That musical brother of mine, Do Re Mi always was a card! Hope to see you next year when I watch the Oscars!
vix, Styler and trade, thank you for the loverly limericks! See ya at that other thread!
Jester, my man, how goes the campaign? Are you planning your victory thead party? I’ll be there with bells on and hats for everyone!
Democritus, you were the original inspiration for my name, and the one whose thread enticed me into the message boards. Thanks so much!
Scotticher, how’s it going at the 1K party? Thanks for your kind words and hugs.
Alpha, I don’t know how you did that, but it is cool. Thanks!
rocking chair, is that still on, or are you remembering that cartoon series from way back when like I do? The Spider Man comics were my favorites.
Hi again to my favority Ecks-Man, and thanks for your support!
purplebear, I hear you have been traveling! Nice that you got a chance to stop in here, and thank you so much for your kind words!
Lux Fiat, I love your name. Thanks for posting here!
I hope I haven’t left anyone out. And thank you to everyone else on the boards, whose stories, posts, and knowledge I have enjoyed. I can’t remember what life was like before SDMB.
