Don’t worry, you were whooshed by the best.
The OP is on a fixed income and can’t afford the membership fee, but can afford a 6.50 cup of coffee? :dubious:
Meh.
SWMBO is a Starbucks addict and gets annoyed as hell with me when I tell her that the commerical coffee available at my work tastes twice as good as Star$$$$ crap and it’s free to boot.
Transcript of my last purchase at Star$$$$:
Me: Large coffee, please.
Drone: You want the venti?
Me: No, I want a large.
Drone: Venti, right.
Me: We speak English around here. Large coffee. L-A-R-G-E.
Drone: That’s a venti.
Me: Forget it.
And if the OP had any decency she’d send **Q.N. Jones ** back her 14.95.
Obligatory psychotic squirrel rant
This is about the time a less polite employee would tell you to fuck off.
Naw, they have dollar coins down here, and I think the only time people use them is to toss at homeless people’s cups. We used to get them when I first moved down here, a little bit of home sorta, but people didn’t believe they were money.
Clothahump obviously enjoys spit and boogers in his beverages.
Why didnt you just say yes to the venti? It sounds like you wanted to start stuff.
This may explain why he prefers the stuff he gets at work.
Wee Bairn, you were already told in your ATMB thread to contact a mod with your concerns, not to play troll-hunter (an activity we don’t like seeing on the board). Please do not do this again.
Haha! Indeed. I’m no fan of Starbucks coffee either, I’ve gotten in the habit of getting an americano whenever I’m there and find I prefer the taste.
I am slighty ashamed to admit that I have been that person who put the dollar in a homeless guys cup of coffee. To be fair, the guy was begging outside of the coffee shop, and I thought it was his collection cup. I didn’t realize that it wasn’t until heard the coins splash in the coffee. I was so embarassed that I just pretended I didn’t notice and kept walking. I was younger and these days I probably would have bought him a new cup, but I was much less confrontational then. Oh Well, I consider it a lesson learned and usually just put the money in their hands now.
Axe, you rock.
Myself, I don’t like Starbucks coffee. YMMV
