The Surprise! MMP

Oh, I got that. I just was amused you felt the need to specify you hated the guy after you talked about nutting him.
ETA: Aaaa! First!

My house smells yum! I just took a pan of brownies out of the oven. Supper’s ready!! :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

Actually, supper will be leftovers, and maybe some mac-n-cheese if I feel like cooking. It’s cold and drizzly and a good day to stay inside near the fire.

I think you & your pillow make a lovely couple & would hate to break up that relationship.
::backs slowly towards the door::
::crosses threshold - turns & runs like a bat outta hell:: :eek:

My, my Rosie! How Whiskypalian of you! :smiley:

gotti the ashes used on Ash Wednesday are from burning the palms used during Palm Sunday of the last year. Yes, the palms are saved. They make really dark ashes just right for smearin’ foreheads. YP is right. Maybe I am a church nerd.

Dindin is whatever is in the fridge. No motivation to cook.

Oh.

Never mind.

Howdy all,

Ya’ll are funny but I am having a very weird day

::drive by::

Jim

Brownies are yum! I’s gonna assume the position on the recliner till I fall asleep. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

So dindin was musgo?

Ah yes, the delightful meal known as mustgos, or as DH calls it, smorgyborg.

Tonight’s dinner was mustgo stroganoff - we had leftover roast beast, onions that were starting to sprout and sour cream of uncertain vintage. As Rachael would say, YUMMO!

Belated sympathies to you and your family, VBob; I’m glad that you got to see your cousin one last time. I’ll keep you and the family in my thoughts and prayers.

Had a bit of a scare last night - my oxygen generator stopped working in the middle of the night. It sets off an alarm; we tried it several times and it appeared to have just been worn out, so we had to call the oxygen provider - at 4 AM! They were able to get someone to my place by 8 am, fortunately, and I had an emergency tank until then (I also had several smaller tanks that I use when I go out). The scary part is that I did NOT hear the alarm, my daughter, fortunately, did, and she was the one who woke me up. I knew I wasn’t feeling right earlier and it was because I wasn’t getting the oxygen. All is well now, though, fortunately.

We had slow cooker swedish meatballs over the weekend - they were so good! I’ll probably fix a beef stew this weekend. I love my crock pot! :slight_smile:

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday.

Well I had a pretty good day, had lunch at my favorite resturant, dinner shall be more of the same, between them my roomie & my mother in law took care of my share of the laundry, & I had a nice nap this afternoon. I feel very spoiled :o

Home from gettin’ ashed. I actually got ashed by our wonderful Deacon Joy. She’s such a sweetheart. I played the part of ush tonight as we had a larger than usual mid-week crowd it bein’ Ash Wednesday and all.

Dindin turned out to be not too bad. There were three grilled chikin boobs in da fridge, so I sliced 'em up, nuked 'em to warm 'em up and served ‘em over a nice green sallit with strawberries, mandarin oranges and chopped pee-kahns with a raspberry vinegarette dressin’. I can scrounge from da fridge real good.

Now I shall betake my self to the bed and watch some teevee until sleepy time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

The cats are i the bedroom, playing “I’m In The Window And You’re Not.”

They told me at the Post Office that “probies” are not allowed to mail beads. :frowning:

sah-dog needed to go out.

nobody told me it was supposed to SNOW! :eek:

dammit!

Don’t have much time to write, other than to say things are going well. :slight_smile:

Blurf.

Yay, Midget!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 41 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 56 and sunny, at least, for the day. We might even have freezin’ temps again by the weekend. :eek:

Herbs glad you’re ok. That sounds scary.

Midget glad things are goin’ well.

Sari thanks for the reminder. I made sure the “No Snow” signs were pointed in the right direction. :smiley:

flytrap who won, you or the cats?

Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Oh and because I suppose I should at least acknowledge it…

**
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!
**

Nothing like being awoken to the subsonic tunes of the snowplow.

Kill the groundhog, kill the groundhog, kill the groundhog…

Good morning!

We had a message on our machine yesterday - **FCD **had a Dr appt today that he’d totally forgotten, so he’s (probably) still sleeping and I got to do all the morning stuff with the dog. So I let her out (whereupon she chased a bunny into the woods), fed her, cleaned the cat box, let her out again, showered and dressed, let her out one last time, locked her up, and came to work. Whew!!

Lovely surprise on my desk - a heart-shaped box of Russel Stover chocolates with a note that says “Happy Valentines from your favorite IT guy.” We have one IT guy, so it was easy to figure out. And I saw similar boxes on the desks of ever female in here, so I don’t feel all that special or anything. But hey - chocolate! :smiley: That does make him my favorite IT guy! :smiley:

I won’t be getting anything from FCD, nor will he from me - we just don’t bother with the silliness that is Feb 14. This day, like Halloween, should be left to the kids, IMHO. Exchange cards at school and be done with it. The pressure put on couples to have a “special day” is unnecessary and stupid. Plus good luck getting into a nice restaurant tonight. Not that I care about that - I’ve got a turkey all thawed and ready to go in the rotisserie for supper tonight. :smiley:

Busy day ahead - I’ve got a gazillion Inventor files to convert over to Solid Works, followed by verifying that the parts all fit together correctly (the guy who designed them has an iffy reputation in that dept.) and once I know they’re all accurate, I have to produce a technical data package. Job security, at least for a couple of weeks.

And on that note, guess I should attempt to be productive. OK, and in the spirit of the day:
:heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:
