IN BED!
Do we still do that?
’mika IN BED! is required if anyone posts their Chinese Fortune Cookie fortune. Then again, what you did was ok as well cause it made me giggle.
Midget HEE! That made me giggle too.
That’s two giggles in a row! Mumpers are makin’ da bear happy.
In other news, we may have rain mixed with snow for a little while tomorrow mornin’. Will there be a run on tp and French toast makin’s? I talked with OYKW a little while ago and told him that if we see snowflakes tomorrow I’ll make French toast. He said, “well, then, come on snow!” Silly thang!
I was in bed
The candy bar was on the nightstand.
My favorite fortune of all time?
“You should bend to the will of the collective”. Very nice Mao-Era fortune, I think.
mentally adds "in Bed " to Soapy’s fortune. KINKY!
Went to the library to print out the coopun book I made for PB for our anniversary. ( I got the rest of his loot yesterday) Now chores!
(BTW, my cat just ate Jalapeno pimento cheese  I think he likes it!)
& flexible!
Mao was Borg?
my boss just emptied most of the shredder bin onto the floor. In her defense, she thought it turned upside down when in fact, the shredding bin part detaches. I was two rooms away and I heard the hilarity. I wandered down there to see everyone falling over laughing and bits of paper EVERYWHERE.
I excused myself to go locate the vacuum. too funny.
I am ready for a 3-day weekend. In fact, I’m ready to retire again. What a day…
Dictatorship of the bourgeoisie is futile.
Sometimes affording prescriptions is futile.
When we were learning about what to expect in the weeks to come, the nurse said the particular chemo regimen DH will be on is pretty cheap - our total price will be less than a car payment. She mentioned a new med that goes for over $8,000 a month.
gotti  indeed! That would be a med I would have to do without. Who can afford that!
Howdy from da cave. Let the weekend begin. Not a three-day one for me however. Dindin shall be grilled tilapia, wild rice (Uncle Ben’s converted wild rice. None of that heathen rice here!), peas and carrots and rolls. 'Tis a Firday in Lent, so no red meat, which does include poke and chikin even though they are not red meats. I’m of the no mammalian flesh school of thought. So, it’s either fish/seafood or vegetarian. Ima make vegetarian lasagna tomorrow and freeze it for one Firday meal.
I forgot to mention this but plans did finally come together for next weekend’s run away to Gatlinburg. We have a nice cabin reserved and the idea is to go and just chill. We’ll go do local stuff durin’ the day and have N.O.L. out. Brekkie and dindin we’ll do at the cabin. Just a nice three day getaway. Lookin’ forward to it.
Before you rush to judgment, that new and hyper-expensive med is for prostate cancer. That probably makes most men think it’s entirely reasonable.
DH and I must be heathens as we don’t even have converted rice in the house. Just plain old calrose. (Not that he can really have rice anyway)
Home. Frazzled. ugh.
**FCD **is still at work and I don’t know when he’ll get home - it was after 6 yesterday, poor baby.
My weekend will include some studio time and a lot of laundry. We’ve got some icky weather coming in from the west - the next two days’ forecast includes snow. ick. And cold. ick.
No idea what we’ll do for supper - we’ve got tons of turkey and other leftovers. I think one turkey tit is going to be frozen for a future meal. The rest will be ingested or turned into soup. Or a pot pie. To be determined…
TGIF - have I mentioned that already??
Mrs Vorlon is on something that retails for 23K for 90 days.
And the sharps container had to come from the Vet supply house. Shipping was $2.23 more than the container.
Well, that was expensive. The family shuttelcraft is getting retired at slightly over a one way trip to Luna. Managed to get the replacement for 1K under dealer invoice, per Edmunds.
Now to get fracking hired.
I would say you should make it a point to go back to Jawja via North-By-God-Kakalak and wave as you pass, but a mountain decided to slide onto 441 so that’s out.
There’s a slight chance of snow tonight. This has caused everyone to flip out over the impeding snowpocalypse. Us natives are just pointing and laughing. It’s not going to do anything except be cold. I need to remember to layer up tomorrow morning.
So far I’m 3-for-3 on my “walk every day during Lent” intention. fistpump (In case of bitter cold, yoga may be substituted, but I’ve been in a walkin’ mood. I really **really **like my new hikin’ shoes and I plan to wear them completely out.)
Dindin is ingested. ‘Twas nummy if’n I do say so myself. OYKW is slightly bummed over the no meat on Friday durin’ Lent deal but got happy over the fact that he is allowed to eat some chawklit. It takes so little to please.
gotti I also have heathen rice. OYKW saw wild rice and said, “Oh Look! Deheathenated rice!” I’ve trained him well.
ETA: Yay on the success of “walk every day during Lent” spaz! Don’t let any mountains fall on ya while you’re out.
Mountains, mountains, what is with “Mountains Falling”?
Did I miss a staff meeting?
Accordin’ to Spaz mountains in North-By-God-Kakalak like to fall or slide into things. I worry about her. It would not be nice if a mountain did that to her whilst she was on her Lenten walk.
