How old is Corey, like 35? Why does he have to act 13? “My life is hard, blah blah blah, my parents screwed me, blah blah blah.” I loved the part where Hammer went off about how easy celebrities have it. Hear that, Corey? “I hear what you’re saying, but let me break that down.” Puh-lease.
On the other hand, Emmanuel’s screeching was much more under control this week and he showed he had a good sense of humor with Jerri. It was funny to see him freaked out by the coyotes, branding that knife the size of his forearm.
I would’ve liked to see more of Vince.
Who do you think will be the first person to throttle Corey? I’m thinking maybe Gabrielle.
Yeah it was a pretty good show.I think after all is done MC and Corey should invest in rowing classes or take a vow of never being near water again.
It was the first time I was able to view Jerri in a likeable way with her telling Emmanuel to come to bed.I think that was the first time I had ever seen her with a sense of humor.
Gabrielle will be the first to lose it with Corey with Vince standing in line behind her.
Who is Brandy?I can’t place her at all.I guess I missed the part whey they annouced who they all were in the beginning.
She’s a playboy playmate. One of the things I don’t like about the show is that they make a point of saying “Jerri from Survivor” and yet, no mention of who Brandy is, as though we all know what she’s famous for.
I’m going to watch the rerun on Saturday (?), I didn’t catch all of it this time. I did see Corey whining about his life, I thought it was funny because everbody seemed so uninterested.
I do agree Skammer Corey acts like a child. I still love the first episode where he was interupted in the middle of his “I don’t eat meat because I have morals” rant, by Gabriella pointing to his freak’n leather shoes!
Yeah, but so does Jerri. And her loathsomeness is being overshadowed by his. I knew we were in trouble when I saw an interview with her saying that Corey was the villain of the show…
You know, that’s a good point. I think I had forgotten how badly I was annoyed with Jerri. Corey just seems to be grating every nerve I have though. He’s such a whiney hypocritical brat.
Well, I certainly haven’t forgotten Jerri. And she reawakened those feelings of disgust by the way she acted in the first episode. However, in the second episode she came off as pretty amusing. Then again, she wasn’t put into any stressful situations (other than having to listen to Corey’s whining – which I’m kind of surprised didn’t set her off).
Corey is indeed a whiny brat. But one thing to think about – he has claimed (to the Chicago Tribune, at least) that the whole “let’s get married on TV” thing was the producers idea. So we should keep that in mind as the series progresses. Of course, he might just be whining about that, too…
First: I like the site you mentioned! Second: I had forgotten a lot of the “Jerrisms”. Damn, she’s a lot nastier than I remember.
I missed Corey’s claim in the Chicago Tribune. I’m speculating here, but I don’t believe it. He was acting giddy and if it was the producer’s idea, I also think he would have informed his wife on the plan beforehand. She seemed a little…I don’t know the right word for it…reluctant, maybe?
Nice article, David. I look forward to more. I was a little - unnerved, I guess - by my lack of annoyance with Jerri in week 2. She was actually kind of funny, flirting with Emmanuel and all. She came across as likeable, which is only testament to the incredible fingernails-on-chalkboard power of Corey.
Well, I didn’t watch Survivor, but I find Jerri actually to be quite likeable on this show.
David
I don’t remember the specifics of the first episode too well, but didn’t at least some of the others do the same with regards to her? As you even mentioned:
Corey Feldman is the real prick in this regard (and many others); he has made it clear many times that he doesn’t feel Jerri belongs there, that she isn’t celeb-enough. You go Corey!!
