Well, your 3 headed running game should be in full force by the next game, so maybe having to rely on Batch won’t hurt too much. Seriously, how did you guys get into this QB situation? Was the front office betting on Big Ben never getting hurt? And where the hell is Maddox?
Maddox was injured in practice last week. And now it seems that Big Ben’s injury wasn’t that bad. He may actually play on Sunday, although I’d rather have him sit it out against Jacksonville. That’s a tough defense.
And it’s not like we can just sit back and say “Eh, what’s a few losses?” That won’t fly this year. We have a Cincinnati team that can actually compete. We play like this and we may be fighting for a wild card spot.
I still think that Maddox should take a seat. He’s so slow and wooden back there it looks like Herman Munster under center.
That said, that was pathetic kick coverage, and Randle-El made the Jags pay. I can live with that. With a lead all Tommy has to do is maintain it. Even he can do that, I think. I hope.
Three things have kept the Steelers in the game, and none of them is the offense.
1: The D. Especially the stop for a field goal after the blocked punt.
2: Randle El’s special-teams TD.
3: The sheer number of penalties commmited by the Jags.
If the Steelers pull this one off, they’ll’ve been incredibly lucky.
