My son is getting married this weekend. He’s already had his bachelor party. Tonight his grandfather and I are going to take him out, and I’m looking for suggestions.
Unfortunately, the Braves aren’t in town tonight, as that would have been perfect.
If it were me, I’d go to a cigar bar… but he wouldn’t enjoy that.
The only thing I can think of is a nice dinner somewhere ~Maybe in downtown Atlanta, or midtown? FYI I live in Roswell, GA.
I don’t mind going to a nice place. I don’t want to break the bank either.
So… any of you Atlanta familiar dopers have any suggestions?
Well, my choice was for a nice steak house. Either Bones or Ruth’s Chris. But I’m not the one getting married, my son is; and he’s 25. We went to ESPNZone, and I told him it was on me… anything he wanted. We had a nice bbq ribs & chicken dinner with beers then went upstairs to play games. They have ‘bowling’ that even his grandfather could get into (he’s 79 or so). It’s bowling rules with a smaller ball that you can palm. It was great fun. I am now the world champion of air hockey. My son won at bowling. I beat him at the hockey shoot out and the racing video games. He skunked me at the basketball and football accuracy contests.
It’s not a place I’d go to regularly, but it was fun, and I’ll definately go back to watch a game in their ‘recliner row’ of chairs facing the big screen. I had a great time, and he has already told me repeatedly how much fun he had.
