I’ve been watching the show on DVD almost constantly for months on end. It’s still hilarious.
“I am mighty! I have a glow you cannot see. I have a heart as big as the moon! As warm as bath water! We are superheroes, man; we don’t have time to be charming! The boots of evil are made for walkin’! We’re watching the big picture friend! We know the score! We are a public service, not glamour boys! Not captains of industry. Not makers of things. Keep your vulgar moneys! We are a justice sandwich. No toppings necessary.Living rooms of America, do you catch my drift? Do you dig?”
IIRC, when he was yelling at Martin Roe, fish-monger & international jewel thief, he shouted, “Do you dig my ditch?!”
Heh.
“Uh, I can fly.”
I loved Sewer Urchin. He was positively the apotheosis of cool.
Google for “two-fisted cool” and The Tick vs. Filth is the third item returned.
I love that series.
Tick, this is your mind speaking.
Oh. Hello.
Sorry I haven’t been around much lately but I’m easily distracted by shiny objects.
What do you think of my DVD label?
I love it. May I also add, I am insanely jealous that you have it on DVD?
Yeah, definetly cool.
Definitely. Definitely.
Best episode title:
“Leonardo da Vinci and His Fightin’ Genius Time Commandos”
That makes a hell of a lot more sense than what I had. My excuse is I was 8 when I saw that.
Although the episode with the Aztecs wasn’t my favorite-itlan, there’s a scene where the TIck is flying an airplace and gets hit in the face with Speak. The reading on his line (“What is going on?”) is so funny I had to pause my TiVo while I laughed.

My favorite quote too.
Holy crap do I feel old.
The final episode… The Tick vs Education?
Arthur and the Tick are training a new batch of heroes.
The whole episode is a riot, but the way the Tick zings Sarcastro at the end really made my day.
Fishboy, lost prince of Atlantis: “Hey, you told me mom you were gonna intoduce me to the Tick!”
Die Fledermaus: “I told your mom alot of things kid.”
