Alas, it has, leading some of us from nucular powers to reach for the button to blow Scotland from the face of the Earth just to shut her up.
That’s kinda why the OP linked to Pjen’s thread that was being mocked. If you read the OP and followed the link helpfully provided, it is obvious.
She’s a man, baby.

Maybe something more Kingsman.
And what the heck is “devomax”? From the linked thread.
The pitting was a bit stealth, but roundly endorsed. I, too, tend to turn and leave threads once Pjen enters. If I make the mistake of reading the one she starts, I find I froth. Not a good look. The gun control thread being my current “favorite”.
We’re so lucky she’s here to show us the way and the light. Never an ounce of condescension in her manner. Or a second’s delay between her replies. All 6 or 7 before anyone else can get a word in.
You forgot to mention that post#5 in a row is usually criticising another poster for not responding to posts 1 through 4, all made in the past five minutes.
“Devomax” is the term Pjen uses to refer to the maximum amount of devolution of powers from the British government to the Scottish government which could be possible.
I don’t know if it is a common term in Scottish political discussions.
However as used by Pjen, it usually is accompanied by sneering contempt for the leaders of the British government, for being so treacherous as to make suggestions during the recent referendum that they would be willing to devolve further powers to the Scottish government, thereby unfairly meddling in the referendum on Britain’s future for crass political purposes (ie preserving the Union).
Is Scotland like Montana, USA? “Where men are men, women are men, and the sheep are nervous.”
Nah, that’s Wales.
Once I learned from the J Chance mod comment about the replies link, it was very interesting to see the Pjen ratio. It is the ratio of Pjen posts in a politics thread to all other posts. It is remarkable to see it less than 25% and it seems to be most common to be 1/3 to 1/2.
but pjen has made me care more about the Scottish independence. I used to not care at all. Now I feel I support the Union.

It is.
Pjen is the reason the main UK election thread got shut down after it got hijacked and driven into the North Sea.
And to quote myself in the most recent thread:
This is pretty much my view. As a British citizen, I suppose I have a bit of a stake in the outcome but I don’t live there and honestly it wouldn’t affect me at all. If anything, I probably started in the pro-independence camp (I was very much in favor of devolution during the Blair years, when I did live there.) However, my only exposure to people on the anti-union side is Pjen, who is a frothing idiot. And I don’t want to see people like her in charge of anything.
Shame - I would have been up for getting involved particularly given we’re now in the actual campaign period. Doesn’t seem much point in starting another thread either, for obvious reasons. Fact is the Scottish question is an important component of this election and merits discussion; just not to the exclusion of all else. I, too, have noted the activity from Pjen in these threads and turned away rather than getting involved, so it’s not like I am blameless here either, as I could have tried to steer this onto other subjects - though I doubt I would have been successful with everyone else taking the same tack.
I first noticed her when she compared a convicted murderer to Rosa Parks. (Claiming that his botched execution would be the “Rosa Parks moment” for the death penalty) And seemed shocked when people were offended.
We have always been at war with Pjenasia.
This negative portrayal of Scotch will not stand!!!
*"Global exports of Scotch whisky fell 7% last year, as American drinkers continued to switch in droves to bourbon and other American whiskeys. It was the steepest drop-off in Scotch exports since 1998 and only the third annual decline in 30 years.
Scotch sales to the U.S., the liquor’s biggest export market, fell 9%, according to British government statistics released Wednesday."*
We’ll devolve until we’re dizzy!!!
From now on, whenever I enter a thread, I want it to be a la Cthulu. It could take some work, but it seems worth it.
Damn you beat me. I was gonna call it EuroPjen!
Nice.
