The truly great threads in SDMB history

Only because I said I would, I’m back to post the ID of that thread I thought had been mentioned here:

Another look at “active users” at SDMB

Enjoy at your own peril! :stuck_out_tongue:

For the win.

Has anyone mentioned the one by the guy who feeds his fish by ejaculating into his aquarium?

And the first occurrence of “penis ensues”?

I’m 98% sure the fish food is above somewhere, but I believe that a search for it will uncover other equally fascinating and delightful expositions by some true wits. You could try a Google search on this thread for “semen” or “sperm” or “fishtank” or similar.

OMG I hadn’t read that one before, and now I’m crying with laughter.

Unless I just didn’t spot it on my way back through This Whole Thing, I was wrong about that specific thread being on this list. An idea that might help run it down would be to use the SDMB Keyword Search (I tried Google with no appreciable luck) for “aquarium” (or some other keyword you’re close to sure was somewhere in the thread) and then wade through the hits for the one you remember.

If you do find it, please add it to this thread. I bet people are curious by now!

Just to provoke other additions to this thread – by anyone interested in such – I looked back at some oldies that may stretch the criteria of what makes for “a truly great thread” and came up with these five to offer here:

A thread about anything but &^%$#*

Surely you can find some others not yet mentioned here that are at least this great!

I found it!

And a righteous jewel it is! Congrats on the search (and find)! It’s a great feeling to me to be able to do such a thing. Now and then I will spend literally days looking for something way more trivial than this. It’s that Easter Egg syndrome I suspect.

And here it is (FOUR years later) that the same question(s) come(s) back up! And a similar amount of back-tracking reveals at least one of those old jewels.

Did we ever get an actual account of the Lost But Not Forgotten SDMB Threads?

Someday, perhaps, that will develop!

But for now…
