 Do you have a link/cite for this?
EPA going down (further down) the shithole.
“The Environmental Protection Agency has given notice to dozens of scientists that they will not be renewed in their roles in advising the agency, continuing a scientific shake-up that has already triggered resignations and charges from some researchers that the administration is politicizing the agency…”
“Members of the EPA’s Board of Scientific Counselors (BOSC) whose terms end in August will not see them renewed, according to an email sent to members and obtained by The Washington Post, though they can reapply for their posts. Moreover, five meetings of subcommittees of the board, planned for the late summer and the fall, will now be canceled because of lack of membership.”
Lack of membership? You (Pruitt) dismissed them and may hire on industry lackeys. He’s got a lawyer and investment partner that are looking for jobs AGAIN.
Well, sure - now that some of the new rules and cut backs on SNAP/food stamps require increased work to get those (reduced) benefits those kids will just have to quit school and get real job!
“We’re gathered today to hear directly from the American victims of illegal immigration. You know you hear the other side, you never hear this side. You don’t know what is going on,” Trump said, speaking in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building highlighting “angel families.”
Thanks. And holy shit. Just when you think they can’t sink any lower, they find a way.
Wow. Logically, this would only be justified if, every week of the year, the White House hosted an event focused on some other random category of people with no higher rate of crime than the overall average.
Next week: “Victims of left-handed criminals tell their stories.”
A week later: “Victims of bassists in Led Zeppelin tribute bands tell their stories.”
etc.
etc.
Angel families is a new one to me. While I sympathize with the families of murder victims and I want murderers to be caught and prosecuted, I gotta say I’m a skosh uncomfortable with conferring special status on the victims of crimes committed by a specific minority group. There’s really no way for that to end well.
I heard the term first, “Angel Families”, but didn’t catch the reference. Didn’t find out what it meant until a little later. In the meantime, my sickly twisted imagination, bolstered by recent experience, bubbled up a few slimey and repulsive possibilities.
I wasn’t even close. Jesus wept, and I know why.
The “angel families” brought large photos of their deceased loved ones to the event. Trump autographed the photos. He…autographed the photos…of the murder victims. Seriously.
In 1965, did Germans look back and say “wow; what the fuck were we thinking?” I mean, can I look forward to that happening in America in 20 years, or is that unreasonable?
It lacks ambition. Americans should treat Republicans the way Germany treats neo-nazis starting tomorrow.
I’m surprised he didn’t sign their foreheads.
Yeah, Poland from 1939 can give a few pointers about that to Mexico.
Someone should compile a list of people murdered by Trump supporters.
He’s a regular Republican Fucking Hero!
George Will says, vote Democrat. Seriously, you’ve lost George Will, GOP. Good job.
Jeepers, it was more than a few, that must have gone on forever. It takes Trump almost thirty seconds to sign his own goddam name. Check it out sometime.
Hey, the pen is mightier than, uh, the, uh … bone spurs! bone spurs!
