This ad cost serious money. It highlights how much is spent even in political races that are, on their own, not decisive. To stay in power or to topple it, a party has to spent several fortunes by now.
Which adds to the already high threshold for everyone else to establish a 3rd or 4th party expressing values and ideas beyond the entrenched.
When a society makes campaigns so expensive, it also makes sure that its political choices are restricted from the start.
