That is the State Department’s statement - they say it should not be released because of diplomatic immunity. I presume they know what the rules of diplomatic immunity are better than you or I. Your inquiries should be directed to the State Dept.
Spicer broke a federal rule when he hailed jobs report too soon after its release
He fucks up even legit good news.
I don’t presume anything to be true that this administration says. They haven’t earned that right. You may take everything they say as gospel but on this board we expect citations, not just appeal to authority.
The employment numbers are as phony or real today as they were in the (recent) past - since they are compiled by the same people using the same methods.
Deeply appreciated. Shy. :o
Note to all: That’s not a cookie.
Cool. So Trump should acknowledge that things improved immensely under Obama, right?
Exactly. Trump is full of shit. Okrahoma: Do you agree with that or is his claim via Spicer that the numbers before were fake but are now real?
A man without a shred of conscience would not serve his country honorably in the Navy Reserve for over 17 years, where he now holds the rank of a commander. The next White House Press Secretary is a Navy officer
Please. Are you trying to say that being in a military reserve or on active duty is proof one has a conscience? Have you read nothing about military history?
Ok, who’s going to search for where that post came from?
McCain was an officer and threw away his honor to toady up to Trump just to get re-elected.
Party before Country as usual.
Nah, even fiction has to be believable.
Oh this is hysterical.
I think it’s disgraceful to say that a military veteran like McCain automatically forfeited his honor by supporting Trump in the election. He was the choice of the Republican primary voters; the base had participated and spoken in the primary election. McCain endorsed him, feeling he shouldn’t ignore the will of the base.
Oh, and McCain withdrew his endorsement of Trump after that lewd, sexually aggressive tape came out and said he “couldn’t support him,” and instead wrote-in Mike Pence for President–which I thought was disgusting, hypocritical and moralistic move on his part, given his own past comments regarding females. Indeed, McCain once said that about Chelsea Clinton:“Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly? Because her father is Janet Reno.” (Salon Newsreal | A joke too bad to print?)
I lost a lot of respect for McCain after he withdrew his endorsement of Trump, which struck me as high-horsed moralistic, sanctimonious rubbish. Anyway, it’s not right to say he “toad[ied]” up to Trump, seeing as how he revoked his endorsement.
I agree. He had no honor left after elevating Sarah Palin to national consciousness.
He should never have endorsed him in the first place. Trump is not fit to run the DMV, let alone serve as President of the United States. * Everyone* who endorsed him will have a lot to answer for one day.
Is that so? Tell me, what will I have to answer for, then?
Maybe it was a distress signal!
Or a declaration of war. At least that’s what it means in some countries (probably not in Japan and Switzerland).
Some or all of the following:
[ul]
[li]The destruction of our international relations and reputation.[/li][li]The emboldening of violent white supremacists.[/li][li]The destruction of our health care system (and all the deaths that follow).[/li][li]The destruction of our climate.[/li][li]Increased pollution of our air and water.[/li][li]A ruinous trade war.[/li][li]The weakening or even destruction of NATO and subsequent empowerment of Vladimir Putin.[/li][li]The loss of basic human rights, here and abroad.[/li][/ul]I’m sure we can think of lots of other things, but those are some that come to mind.
