Yes. The ONE concession Trump supposedly got out of that gigantic give-away to Kim of everything Kim wanted, was that Kim would let Korean War-era remains of US service members be returned to the USA.
We’re still waiting. And no one should hold their breath.
A quarter. Really, when it comes to “relations” with Putin, Trump is just a two-bit hooker.
Wrong reference. The correct one is Mork from Mork & Mindy:
Well, now we are suffering through Catch 45.
The bigoted right is already lining up saying that isn’t what the amendment neans, doesn’t apply, etc. I think the article I read with all that nonsense was in The Federalist.
And that was after two meetings between Kim and Xi, after Xi openly manipulated Trump. Of course Kim met Xi to get pointers.
I thought the tape was a flop. It seemed to end right where it might have gotten interesting, but there was nothing I heard that was a big deal.
MUCH bigger IMO was Rachel Maddow’s story tonight (originally caught by The Atlantic, IIRC) on how both the Russian and US official transcripts and videos have edited out Putin giving a flat “Da” to the question of whether he favored Trump in the election.
Avenatti is actually harming the cause; he and his client are a bunch of goddamned showboats (well, mostly he). People can easily conflate Mueller’s work with his antics, and reach the conclusion that Mueller’s also a showboat and that we’re just watching politics as usual.
…Which will eventually come back and bite преЦАРдент Trump on his poor, fat, diseased tennis ass. When that time comes, are US farmers really going to be as stupid as Stalin-era Russian peasants were, with the latter’s “oh he just doesn’t know” handwave of their leader’s perilous neglect/criminality?
So how soon is (R. - Nebraska) Ben Sasse gonna get thrown on the rrrrrrrack (said with rolled “r”, Snidely Whiplash-like) for doing a pretty good diss on President Piltdown’s tariff gong show?
When he mentioned that bean losses this year were $12 billion, alone, that put things into perspective of his views of the farmer’s aid as being a band-aid solution.
Here’s to hoping more Repubs grow a pair and speak up like this if something’s getting their goat.
Pissed everyone’s been too fucking ignorant to mention the elegant, winsome splendour of Danielle Steel.
Assholes.
yeah I know the “e” at the end is missing.
At least all that puerile unicorn-fucking stuff is long done with.
Worse! The actual question referenced his preference for Trump AND did he direct his government to assist him! And then they edited the transcript AND the video so the questioner and the question fucking disappear! Poof! Gone! They literally tried to “Gaslight” everybody all at once, even though an original of the video is out there! And a room full of reporters heard the whole damn thing!
What kills me is that until Rachel pointed it out, nobody seems to have noticed it! And it was a fucking week ago? WTF? WT literal F?
When I listen to it, I hear what I think is “don’t pay cash” with the “don’t” partially muffled by something Cohen was saying, and then the word “check.”
Although I’m not sure that’s a good thing. There’s an implied “this time,” which just raises more questions. If I was making some kind of dubious payment, I don’t think I’d need to specify that I didn’t want my lawyer to send over a brown bag of unmarked bills unless I’d done that exact thing in the past.
That’s the one subject I’m used to hearing “the US does it right, your country does it wrong-wrong-wrong” most often, even more than the First and Second Amendments. Most of the people ranting about the Second have their information wrong, anyway (many Americans believe people abroad do not have any right to bear arms); not so much about citizenship (they tend to be lacking nuance but at least they don’t believe that people in other countries don’t have citizenship). Wow.
