Well, We may think it is stupid, but obviously Trump fans think everything is going great. I think that is the point of that piece- Dems made this mistake before in underestimating the disconnect in America between the informed and the… propagandized? Whatever Trump voters are. The Dems can offer health insurance, fiscal sanity, jobs training for screwed coal miners and out of work factory workers plus other things that would actually help. To them, it is just a bunch of yammering by liberals and they’ll have the snake oil, please. If we want to put the country back on track, we can’t repeat the mistake of totally not understanding Trump voters. Like with the abortion thing, and all the rest if Trump’s “character” failings. It doesn’t seem to matter. Could be a mistake to hammer too much on that kind of thing.
Not sure exactly what the answer is. I do strongly recommend not running a POTUS candidate in 2020 that is related to any former president.
