The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

I have additions

The Russians are interfering in our elections to help Democrats!

Our elections are suspect.

We cannot accept the results of the mid-term elections.

And the President in the movie realized that he wasn’t smart enough to solve all the problems.

If President Camacho actually wanted to solve real problems, that would be one more distinction between him and the CFSG.

He did. Camacho understood the country had an agricultural crisis, identified the person best suited to tackle the problem and put him in charge of it, and covered his six. That’s just good leadership. He didn’t just blame and divert and bluster, like at least one other President. Yes, Camacho seriously *would *be better than Trump.

I realize that there have been false alarms almost daily about the beginning of the end for Trump, but this might really be it:

My hope all along has been that the major donors would come to believe that PantsOnHead would wreck their own bottom lines with his nutty hi-jinks----and that the moment they came to that realization, they’d get on the line to the Congresspeople they bought and paid for, and tell them “get rid of him.”

Then, and only then, would Congress move.

Thought that looked like Staples Center.

Part 3 by Some New Guy on American fascism for those interested. Sadly those who should watch it and think about it, won’t but whatever.

I hope I’m just being paranoid, but lately I’ve been seeing a lot of anti-Trump and/or pro-Democrat posts in comment sections (e.g. WaPo’s) that look suspiciously bottish. No way to know the source, of course, but they have the slightly stilted, not-quite-right grammar and random capitalizations that suggest non-native English speakers.

Here’s an example of what I mean… two comments for the same WaPo article about Trump calling the press the “enemy of the people,” ostensibly by two different users, but they look awfully similar. I’ve been seeing this shit everywhere recently.

Well, if the Russian propaganda bots are now out to help Democrats, the good news is that we have fine Republican patriots in congress that won’t stand for that kind of meddling!

‘The world is laughing at us’ says Trump. Yeah, because of the iDJiT in charge, not immigration.

Russia’s Foreign Minister says Russia knows what Western countries are planning to do, militarily, before they do it.
“Rest assured, we will be provided with information about the schemes harbored by the militaries of both the U.S. and other Western countries against the Russian Federation,”

35% of the United states is totally convinced the world really is laughing at the USA over its allegedly lax immigration policies.

Trump says this stuff for Trumpists, not for you.

The fact that the GOP traitors are starting to hint they colluded but that it’s okay is absolutely to be expected, because soon all the Trumpists will believe it’s okay to collude with a foreign government to subvert U.S. democracy. It sounds stupid, but it works on Trumpists.

I apologize to anyone who gets a shitty ad-filled page when clicking on that link. I tried to direct link to the image, which worked on my desktop computer, but (as I just now noticed) did not work on my phone, because TinyPic fucking sucks.

Steve Mnuchin says the Trump administration is considering an additional $100 billion tax cut for the wealthy without legislation from Congress:

It keeps shifting. What’s next? “Yes we committed treason but so what”?

Traitor Issa and Traitor Rorbacher are sort of saying that NOW.

They aren’t laughing, they are appalled.

Speaking as someone who would benefit from this - What a stupid idea.

First and foremost - shifting the tax burden away from the wealthy sucks.

Second, and one of my hobby horses - buying stock in existing companies is only very vaguely “investing”. It puts no money into the company, and at most gives the company an idea of what they could issue actual new shares for. And I guess the liquidity makes it more likely that some will buy new shares since they can be confident that they can sell them later.

Well, they can be appalled and laughing at the same time.

It reminds me of the Lewinsky affair, when the Republicans claimed that all Europe was scandalized. Which they were — by the Pubs’ moralistic dudgeon rather than by an incident that would be shrugged off in most of the rest of the world.

(Europeans seem to recognize that for [some] men power is an aphrodisiac, and [some] women are attracted to it. It can perhaps be encapsulated by this photo, which shows François Mitterand’s wife and mistress together at his funeral.)
