The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

What’s the point of not allowing someone to terminate a pregnancy conceived in rape if the rapist doesn’t get parental rights?

Ah, victory. I will say more, but I don’t want to descend from the mountain just yet.

You know what Kim does to beloved relatives, right?
They may go hand in hand to the sunset, but only one might come back.

…I understood that reference.

I imagine some combination of words including the terms “disgrace”, “treason”, “impeach” and, perhaps, “ass-licker”.

Do I win?

Hallowed. It says so in the song.

If it is truly unconstitutional as judged by the Supreme Court, I expect that to be adjudicated by honest people, of which Kavanaugh does not seem to be the paragon.

Haploid. I thought everyone knew that.

Me, too.

Good point.

Enjoy the rarefied air.

I’m pretty sure it’s, “Honda” as the 12 disciples were in one Accord.

Wins the thread!

That may be slightly misleading.
… on the eve of the Revolutionary War, wealth was distributed more evenly across the 13 colonies than anywhere else in the world that we have record of.
This was partly due to U.S. having lower average income — there was less room for inequality. I think the U.S. continued to have a lower GINI than Britain during most of the 19th century … even with slaves included. (Britain and Holland had the highest per capita incomes on the planet during most of the 18th and 19th centuries.)

Income inequality over the centuries is an interesting topic. Someone should start an an IMHO thread on the topic.

Conservatives suck.

Force them to become educated.

That’s the way it is now. But, of course those poor hoodwinked upper crust blokes who are “tricked” into “a few minutes of action” which currently will “ruin their lives” will want to have the law changed so those “hussies”/“sluts”/“gold diggers”/“vixens” will lose their right to raise the child forced on them because said “vixens” (et al) are obviously immoral. And if the biological mother happens to be white, then, yeah, the upper crust bloke will then have no qualms with raising the child “as his own”.

Think I’m kidding? I didn’t pull any of those terms in quotation marks out of thin air.

The difference is, for all his faults and wrong ideas, Archie was not mean or evil. He as just wrong. And he could (and did) learn.

Here’s an excerpt from Michael Lewis’ new book, about the Trump transition team.

Pretty depressing reading. Taking Lewis’ assertions as factually correct for the moment, what I found interesting is that Trump never fires anyone face to face. It’s always an intermediary.

Here is what I posted under my nickname Chip in the comments section of Yahoo!'s article on that:

So far, I’ve gotten no responses except one snowflake trumpist gave me a thumbs down.

Actually, there have been some rather lame attempts to justify Trump’s remark in the comments section there. My favorite is “Something was lost in translation”. Huh? The orange blight was speaking to Americans.

Yeah, but he doesn’t speak English.

Carroll O’Connor, or was it Norman Lear, was stunned that people thought Bunker was a hero at the beginning of the series. Bunker was anti-Roman Catholic and anti-Irish. Carroll O’Connor was Irish Catholic.

Check out this post. It’s not surprising at all if you know even a little about trump. For him to fire someone requires that person to have done something to require firing. And that means that trump made a mistake in hiring that person in the first place. You can get that vibe from his twitting on twitter about those who’ve already been let go from “his team” in government.

Thanks for the very depressing read! :stuck_out_tongue:

A year ago I developed (for my own blog) a list with dozens of depressing or frightening Trump stories. I gave up growing the list. There were too many to choose from; and it was all too depressing.
