Whoops. Yeah. Duh.
Wait. His name really is Jefferson Beauregard? That’s not some elitist Dogpatch joke?
Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III no less. I’m waiting for him to arrive to a hearing wearing a white linen suit and demanding to be addressed as Colonel.
But, as I recall, he was not the senator from SC.
Graham said mean things about Trump during the primaries. He has no chance of becoming AG. He might be paraded in front of the cameras like Romney only to be humiliated, like Romney.
Per Wiki:
“He was named after his father, who was named after his grandfather, who was named after Jefferson Davis, the president of the Confederate States of America, and P. G. T. Beauregard, the Confederate general who oversaw the bombardment of Fort Sumter, starting the American Civil War.”
Why do you care what an asshole’s opinion is of you? Last I checked, the only things coming out of assholes were crap and farts. Yes, losing clean is an improvement.
Maybe the First Lady will lend him her colonial helmet.
I don’t know which prospect I would enjoy more: getting rid of Lindsey from the Senate* or having Lindsey realize with dawning horror that he threw away his over-hyped reputation for nothing.
*I know SC isn’t going purple yet, but I’m sick of Lindsey.
Some of us refer to him as Jefferson Butterbeans Sessions III.
Why, WHY does the news allow a proven liar to say whatever the hell he wants in their newspaper or on television, without pointing out all the lies? Printing something you know is false is not journalism!
I’m talking, of course, about D2S’s op-ed in USA Today, which boils down to “no healthcare for everyone! Democrats suck! Socialism bad! Support giant insurance companies!”
He touts his healthcare plan that’s “working.” I must have missed it. Did he get a Healthcare plan passed?
Michael Lewis traces the ‘gutting of the civil service’ under Trump
The author mentions the case where Trump was going to replace the chief USDA scientist, an actual scientist who is in charge of billions for research, with a talk-radio host who supported Trump’s campaign. The talk show host later withdrew, but it illustrates Trump’s desire for loyalists and supporters instead of actual qualified, competent people.
No he didn’t. That’s the LYING part.
I think the news media should print an op-ed from (although not BY) the president and then right next to it print an editorial that calls out every single lie, and calls them LIES. I’ve objected all along to euphemisms like falsehood, mistake, misquote, misspoke, fabrication, deception, evasion, distortion, fiction, mendacity (although I DO love that word), inaccuracy, etc.
He LIES. And when he lies, the media should say, “THAT WAS A LIE.” It’s a simple, no frills word that doesn’t need any embellishment.

South Korea Considers Lifting Sanctions Against North Korea; Liar McCheetoface thinks he has final say.
It just occurs to me: what if we get rolling on a movement to rebrand the party. You, sir, are no longer a “Republican”, you are a Trump. Every person with a R after their name is a Trump Party candidate. What kind of effect would that have?

The Washington Post fact checker agrees and states: “President Trump wrote an opinion article for USA Today on Oct. 10 regarding proposals to expand Medicare to all Americans — known as Medicare-for-All — in which almost every sentence contained a misleading statement or a falsehood.”

There are numerous possible reasons why she might be leaving. We should at least wait until the Trump administration announces theirs, so we can rule that one out.
I’ve also seen early speculation she is thinking she might run for Pres 2-6 years from now. And, if Trump/Pence do get impeached or meaningfully tarnished, if Rs come to see anyone closely affiliated with this clusterfuck as stained, she might be a valid option for the Rs.

IMHO that should read, “…in which almost every sentence contained a LIE.”
What is up with this “falsehood” bullshit?
Otherwise, okay.

They’re afraid of being sued and looking partisan. Cowards. They ARE lies.
