I saw on Twitter that West pulled out his phone in the Oval Office too. I would have thought outsiders weren’t allowed to bring phones in there.
Anyway, I don’t care about Trump meeting West per se. I mean, it’s not like he invited Common to the White House. That was an outrage! This is Trump showing his understanding of today’s youth.
CNN called him Trump’s “Token Negro” and of course the right is pretending to be outraged.
Not only that, he unlocked it on TV. His code is 000000.
Tara Setmayer, the analyst who used the phrase, is a Republican. She was the communications director for Dana Rohrabacher, among other positions.
It sounds like others on the panel were saying similar things, and I also think the use of “token negro” is worthy of condemnation. I just hope those attacking the “racist left” make a note of this.

EVERYTHING Turmp says is intended to deceive, even when it’s something that’s objectively true. And reporters using nuanced distinction of five-dollar words instead of calling lies lies, they’re relinquishing the truth to him. The lie becomes real when they say “claimed without evidence” or “incorrectly stated” or “falsehood.”
Conmen have long weaponized such weasely indecision when caught. The press is helping him lie.
