Benedict Arnold, Aaron Burr, and Nathan Bedford Forrest would be more apt.
This is some pretty compelling analysis from our ultra-liberal  friends over at kos. They are saying that Mike Jesuspance has moved himself to KB7 in preparation for the collapse of his boss, or, failing that to run the show from behind the green curtain.
This is a troubling, if not unexpected, turn. If Jesuspance gets his hands on the tiller, we will be in a world of shit, because, after years of shitgibbonry, he will look sane and rational by comparison – not to us, but to far too many of our fellow citizens. And, AAUI, he comports himself well when facing competition at the lectern.
I can imagine the Rs seeing him as their hope for staying in the WH for a decade, seeing as how incumbents have the, uh, incumbent-advantage; all he has to do is hold off for two months and change and he can run for the office twice.
Of course, we saw how well the incumbent advantage-worked for LBJ, so there is that. And, given how the Rs are pounding spikes into the economy, even 2020 may be a dim hope for them, because the advantage evaporates under the spread of pessimism (the economy does not actually have to be bad, it just has to seem to be headed toward decline).
I certainly do not want even 6 months of Jesuspance, but, brace yourself, it may well be closer than we would hope.
Or in exchange for installing a McDonald’s-style line grill in the White House, президент Trump promises to completely leave Mueller alone until the investigation’s done, or DT can completely thumb his nose at the 2020 elections so he can be allowed to boogie off to Africa where they’ll take him to a special hunting preserve where they’ll tie down the animals for him a la 127th annual U.C.T.O.T.Y. (I’m sure the kids wanna tag along), or in exchange for re-honouring the Iran Deal, he gets a photo of himself behind the wheel of the BelAZ 75710.
Joe McCarthy, Knute Rockne, and Bert Lahr?
I’m torn - should I side with the nuclear war liability that President Pus-head poses, or the Half-Pence’s much more capable enabling of odious Republican policy?
Torn, between two gross things…feelin, like I need to Juul…
It’s my bad. I see he did yell both. I wasn’t paying attention.
What is KB7?
NM, my third attempt at Google sees it’s a chess dealiebob
Yeah, I play chess, but don’t see why you’d insert it into a post, especially knowing most people wouldn’t get it.
Besides, chess dealiebobs aren’t as fun as bananagram dealiebobs.
Forrest is probably more likely than any of the other deaders to be honored once the carrot-colored crap calling itself president figures out how much of a hero that other SOB is to his supporters.
AAUI?
I think he meant AIUI. One vowel is as good as another, right?
Yes. Nothing worse than an acronym typo. Well, there are worse things, but acronym typos are prettybad.
Ah. It makes sense now, at least as much as it can. I was applying Runyon’s Law.
Good point.
Careful, he could just be Kellyanne’s Plan B, and the Trump criticism is just their way of keeping their powder dry. When she worked for Cruz, she was just as anti-Trump as he is now. When Trump won, Mr. Conway had tears of joy in his eyes. These people are absolute mercenaries.
Supposedly Kellyanne loathes Donald Trump. Why she keeps working for him is beyond me. She’s already made a name for herself and is extremely wealthy. Perhaps part of her brand is unquestioning loyalty.
One of my coworkers hates 2/5 of our team, hates the location, hates the conditions… but simply won’t leave without having his next contract signed. Meanwhile he’s a jerk to everybody within hearing. I’ve known other people who made it a point of pride to never leave a job: they’ve been fired a bunch of times, but they never leave a job.
The only animal weirder than people is people, I’m sure.
The President of Finland says he doesn’t remember anything about telling Trump about raking forests.
https://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/finnish-pres-doesnt-remember-telling-trump-about-raking-forest?fbclid=IwAR2DZ3thFcYOXwER7KqieUuq9h_F6XGHEuBXsChqJT3D3gJlr4oUqwFJD8U
His addled brain misremembered “taking” as “raking”?
Did anyone really need to follow up to know that Shit Gibbon was talking from his sphincter and that Finland’s president said no such thing? It SCROTUS says or tweets it, default assumption should be lying. There is ALWAYS intent to deceive, even when the idiot has absolutely no clue what it’s talking about (which is most of the f’n time).
I have no trouble identifying my feelings about nuclear war versus Pence’s probable prying into people’s private pursuits------I’m against both, but find nuclear war to be the greater danger.
Though eschereal makes a good point about Pence looking sane when compared with Trump, and gaining some leverage thereby, I still say that Pence’s lack of ability to make Trump’s base fall in love with him, will limit the damage he’ll be able to do.
Congress won’t be afraid of him. That’s the bottom line.
His dad made him rake the front yard when he was 7, and forests are just biglier versions of yards.
I honestly don’t worry much about Trump and nukes. Here’s why: The leaders of the rest of the world, even the crazy ones, are way smarter than he is. They’re riding this “administration” out, knowing that it’s temporary. For Trump’s part, just like he’s too chickenshit to fire anyone himself, or to listen to the Khashoggi murder tape Trump on Khashoggi death tape: 'No reason for me to hear it' , strike a Syrian airbase without first letting the Russians know, or confront Fucking nazis that support him, he simply lacks the balls to do anything of real consequence that he’d be responsible for.
ETA: Let me give you an example. When we got Bin Laden we went into Pakistan in the middle of the night without asking permission. I don’t see Trump having the cojones to do such a thing.
I would think that if a reporter at a news conference said “If you don’t nuke Iran, the rest of the world will think you are a giant pussy that wouldn’t do something that Obama would have done” then he just might do it.
