Now wait a minute. He already has a secret, yet perfect, health plan that insures everyone and costs very little. It was all done and just waiting for confirmation of Secretary Price. Let’s use that one.

President-elect Donald Trump said in a weekend interview that he is nearing completion of a plan to replace President Obama’s signature health-care law with the goal of “insurance for everybody,” while also vowing to force drug companies to negotiate directly with the government on prices in Medicare and Medicaid.

Trump said his plan for replacing most aspects of Obama’s health-care law is all but finished. Although he was coy about its details — “lower numbers, much lower deductibles” — he said he is ready to unveil it alongside Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).

“It’s very much formulated down to the final strokes. We haven’t put it in quite yet but we’re going to be doing it soon,” Trump said. He noted that he is waiting for his nominee for secretary of health and human services, Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.), to be confirmed.

Jared Kushner used the Mueller report to deflect an unrelated question, and it could hint at a new Trump strategy to shut down scrutiny

In an interview broadcast Monday night, President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and adviser, Jared Kushner, shrugged off questions over his White House security clearance, granting a glimpse of a political playbook that could loom large in the months to come.

Speaking with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, Kushner used the central finding of the special counsel Robert Mueller’s report — which the Justice Department has said did not find evidence of illegal collusion with Russia — to avoid answering about something unrelated.

Here is the exchange, with the relevant segment highlighted:

Ingraham: The left is going crazy about the security-clearance issue. And a whistleblower from the White House has now given a private interview on Capitol Hill with Democrats, and she says that 25 individuals were able to leapfrog over the career people’s concerns about security clearances, and they received security clearances, in her view, improperly. What’s your reaction for that?

Kushner: Well, I can’t comment for the White House’s process, but what I can say is that over the last few years that I’ve been here, **I’ve been accused of all different types of things, and all of those things have turned out to be false.

I am kinda surprised Kushner wasn’t indicted for lying during those 20 hours of testimony. I can’t think of anyone in the top of the administration who doesn’t lie.

The media is not the blight on our republic. Trump and his administration are.

I do, too. And with incorrect subject/verb agreement. And with dangling participles. Those of us with a good foundation in grammar are doomed to suffer. Outsiders not only don’t understand our pain, they dismiss and ridicule it. No sarcasm here. I’m deadly serious. I’m now seeing grammatical errors in the New York Times almost daily. It’s because the *Times *did away with copy editors a few years ago (budget constraints), and the people in their 30s and 40s over there NEVER HAD TO DIAGRAM SENTENCES IN SCHOOL.
