Some people thought it was entertainment when he told Hillary Clinton “You’d be in jail” but it was a dark moment in American politics, because in a stable, functional democratic republic, it’s understood you just don’t go there. But by going there, Trump made it very clear he had the capacity to use the DoJ for political purposes, and this country voted for it. So that’s a problem - a big one. When an authoritarian tells you what he’s going to do, listen. He means it.
