The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Hmmm, well, that actually does describe quite a number of self described “christians” as well.

“‘Love my neighbor as myself’, what fool came up with that nonsense?”

The House Majority Whip thinks impeachment, or an impeachment inquiry, will happen.

A Republican group called “Republicans for the Rule of Law” is hand-delivering special counsel Robert Mueller’s report, with sections highlighted, to every lawmaker in its party.

They also released a video with three GOP-appointed federal prosecutors claiming Trump would have been indicted if he were not president.

I heard about this group yesterday. They have the potential to become a game changer in this nightmare.

I wondered if/when any principled Republicans working in the legal field were ever going to stand up for the rule of law. I guess they’ve finally shown up.

Hopefully, it will, over the coming months, become crystal-clear to everyone which Republicans have an “uncompromising commitment to the rule of law”, and which don’t.

Republicans…for the rule of law? Oh shit, the party leaders ain’t gonna like that even a little bit.

The Republican leadership likes rule of law. They just want to decide moment-to-moment what the law is.

They love the rule of law.

It’s the rule they smack you across the knuckles with, until you understand that they determine what the ruttin’ law is.

Anything that hampers Trumps long-term goals is A-OK in my book. Not seeing a downside.

A twenty-something aide doesn’t have to run a dumb idea past a supervisor?

Then there’s the whole matter of prioritizing “hurt feelings” over acting like you have the slightest inkling what being Commander-in-Chief entails.

I’m assuming one of his long term goals is staying out of jail, so… yeah. Anything that hampers that is fine with me.

He uses “nasty” as a shortcut for “is mean to me” so often that he’s not aware he says it.

It’s 25th Amendment material.

They can’t trust this unstable President to stay calm when he sees an actual US naval vessel, and/or insignia of that vessel on sailors’ uniforms.

That’s not normal.

He always uses it to describe women, never men. You never hear him say “Nasty Joe Biden” or “Nasty Bernie Sanders”.

Why would you give a stranger on the Internet the benefit of the doubt? And yes, I thought the improving economy under Obama was awesome.

LOL

Typically black women, at that.

It’s very much a throwback to the 80s or 90s. You’d think with his regular Twitter habit, he could be bothered to learn the modern racist/misogynist dog whistles, but I guess not.

Today’s news ranged from petty disrespect to global-order-threatening.

On the one hand, Trump made a rare appearance in a church today, having come straight from the golf course. He still had on his golf attire, complete with ill-fitting khakis and golf spikes. He wore his golf spikes into a church.

On the other hand, Trump has been considering tariffs against Australia. Australia. Because apparently we don’t need allies in Oceania.

He knows what happened to the strawberries, though, you bet.

[stunned] He took off his hat! [/stunned]

I’m confused. Haven’t we always been at war with Oceana?
