:eek: Um, no. They claim it would bother them, but when faced with facts, they look the other way. Mostly, because most of them would like to be able to do it too. Be it rape or theft, or screwing those that work for you out of what you owe them.
Ignorance is not an excuse. There is no way these folks don’t understand what they support. Racism, misogyny and screw the other guy is the republican platform. Trump supporters are so desperate to not be the scum pond that they are, they will support anyone that claims to get them on dry land all the while they are being drowned by person and policies. As long as the person that claims to support them are vocal racist assholes, they will support them. They idealize them.

I’ve mentioned the fact, before, that Trump’s charity was for veterans. This is the man in charge of bringing it boys home and he ripped off money that was supposed to go to the guys who got their legs blown off fighting for the flag.
Besides that, the fact that he says that he’s against immigrants but has never considered e-Verify, hasn’t tried arresting employers, and didn’t even bother to fire his own illegal until after losing the wall funding match with Pelosi - two years into his Presidency.
Trump blamed Saudi Arabia for 9/11. Purportedly, he lost hundreds of friends when the WTC fell. So…
The fact that two people who Trump put on to finance committee of the RNC have had warrants executed against them by the FBI.

To be sure, all of this has been reported. I didn’t glean it from the morning dew. But, no strong effort was made to put it in front of eyes and keep it there.
I’ll also note that the media reported about child separations a year before the story took off. It only became a big story when someone reported that they’d lost the children, the public noticed, and the whole thing took off with the media putting and keeping it in the front of the news every day for a few weeks. There is a strong difference between reporting something and emphasizing something. If the left doesn’t care, the media tend not to care either.
Trump supporters have something very significant in common with Trump. That is, if you want to find out how ignorant and misinformed they are, they’ll tell you with gusto- just ask them any question.

It’s pathetic/disgusting to read Trump tweets about media issues, because they make it so plain that all he really cares about is branding and popularity. Yes, there are a lot of other pathetic/disgusting things about Trump, but the fact that he honestly regards all of reality as essentially just a ratings war, where the only really important thing is to constantly generate a lot of drama and chatter and have people admire you for being a rich famous TV person, is IMO one of the worst.
And yet listening to him is not enough to make a majority of Americans want to restrict the formation of familial dynasties in any way.
In what way could one “restrict the formation of familial dynasties”? Unless all you mean by “dynasties” is “a family member of a previous POTUS becoming POTUS”, which so far has no relevance to the Trump family, thank God.

I love it at the 1:30 minute mark in the video when the reporter is talking to the bar patrons and the guy who started the chant does not disappoint!
Addendum: And the fact that Trump is a moron. Stop treating him like he’s evil and instead treat him like a fucking moron and you’ll get a lot farther, particularly if you’re able to make the case - which is pretty easy.
