This would be the end of any of the first 44 presidencies. He extorted a foreign power to investigate a political rival’s son. If Obama did this, I’d be in favor of his removal from office. The truth is coming out leak by leak, drip by drip. What will Republicans do? Susan Collins will say she’s deeply troubled and then sit on her hands. Moscow Mitch will say since the funds were released there is nothing to the story. Lindsey Graham will wipe the orange semen from his chin and say nothing to see here, move right along.

Here’s Wikipedia’ssynopsis.

The eponymous story revolves around Yertle the Turtle, the king of the pond. Dissatisfied with the stone that serves as his throne, he commands the other turtles to stack themselves beneath him so that he can see farther and expand his kingdom. However, the stacked turtles are in pain and Mack, the turtle at the very bottom of the pile, is suffering the most. Mack asks Yertle for a respite, but Yertle just tells him to be quiet. Then Yertle decides to expand his kingdom and commands more and more turtles to add to his throne. Mack makes a second request for a respite because the increased weight is now causing extreme pain and hunger to the turtles at the bottom of the pile. Again, Yertle yells at Mack to be quiet. Then Yertle notices the moon rising above him as the night approaches. Furious that something “dares to be higher than Yertle the King”, he decides to call for even more turtles in an attempt to rise above it. However, before he can give the command, Mack decides he has had enough. He burps, which shakes up Yertle’s throne and tosses the turtle king off the turtle stack and into the water, leaving him “King of the Mud” and freeing the others.

Sounds like Mitch to a tee.

Apparently the ‘Moscow Mitch’ moniker irritated McConnell so much that today he finally reversed his stance on withholding funds to fight election interference and will allow this to go ahead.

Again, we are hearing about this solely because Ukraine seemingly resisted Giuliani’s offer, necessitating a call from the President.

To that end, what about those countries whom:

1. Trump has had secret meetings with (Putin, Helsinki)?
2. Trump doesn’t have to apply pressure to get them to assist?
3. Those countries which already interfered in US elections?

Remember when whether or not to bail out the auto industry was a big question back in 2009? We did, to the tune of 12 billion dollars. Trump’s farm bailout, which is necessary solely because of Trump himself has cost 28 billion dollars to date.
