The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Geraldo Rivera Says He’d Like to Beat Up ‘Rotten Snitch’ Whistleblower for Trump

Second whistleblower

At this rate Trump will never find the strawberries.

Only criminals have to worry about snitches.

Well, I certainly wonder how he functions at all, but not for those reasons. :dubious:

Wouldn’t work - he may have only two brain cells to rub together, but those brain cells are both well aware that the second he leaves office he’s going to jail. And not even a gold-plated jail - a regular jail. Sad!

(cross-posted from impeachment thread)

The NYT is reporting that Trump met with Wayne LaPierre today. Subject: financial assistance from the NRA for the upcoming impeachment defense.

Also, State Department Special Envoy to Ukraine, Kurt Volker, has resigned. He is called out in the whistleblowers complaint - and was subpoenaed today.

Wait, the multi-billionaire in the White House is asking the near-bankrupt gun rights group for money?

I think this is more likely an attempt by the NRA to get The Orange One’s supporters to give them money (with the hope of course there will be plenty left over for them).

Wait one moment here. Isn’t that exactly what Trump is and how he operates: a rat, and backstabbing?
Anyway, this is real life in the real world. It is not a 2nd grade playground. Informing the appropriate authorities about felons committing felonies is not “snitching”. It’s called good citizenship.

Poor liddle’ Trump

Can we officially call him a Traitor now?

This sure feels like giving “comfort” to an “enemy”. – i.e. comforting the Ambassador of a country that attacked our election that we won’t respond…

Washington Post:
Trump told Russian officials in 2017 he wasn’t concerned about Moscow’s interference in U.S. election

I must confess a bit of satisfaction, seeing how quickly the wheels are finally coming off Liddle’ Donnie Trump’s circus wagon. It’s certainly been long enough coming.

How dare a woman of color try to tell an Individual 1 (former) Cabinet member to stop talking when he wants to continue ranting?

Nope. We are not in an active, declared state of war with Russia. That appears to be the only time someone can actually be charged with and convicted of treason.

For example, John Walker Lindh was charged and convicted of treason because he was fighting for the Taliban in Afghanistan, and we were and are at war with them.

On the other hand, Aldrich Ames was “only” charged and convicted of espionage because his actions were not performed during an active, declared war.
ETA: Sorry, you didn’t say treason, you said traitor. He’s a traitor. We can call him that.

Well, at least it’s encouraging to note that Rivera acknowledges that he’s a poor president.

Well. Isn’t *this *special?

The US never declared war on Afghanistan.

Furthermore, Lindh was never charged with treason. Per Wikipedia, he was charged with five counts of conspiracy, four counts of providing material support/providing services to terrorists, and one explosives charge. He pled guilty to the explosives charge and one count of providing services and the other charges were dismissed.

I saw this and was trying to rank this story in terms of craziest/import of the day and could only come as high as 7th. And yet, if this was Bush, it would be the 7th most important story of his administration (Katrina, Iraq, 9/11, Great Recession, Valerie Plame, <reserve space for the obvious one I’m missing> (not in any order)).
