To be fair, most conferences don’t require a massive ring of security around the conference site and for local airports to be shut down or flight paths altered due to the nature of the attendees.
… and it’s not just air travel that’s affected; try to drive anywhere near the UN Building in Manhattan when heads of state are present, and you’re in for a loooooong day, f’rinstance. Especially in anything larger than a sedan.
It’s really not that bad. My wife and I stayed at the Millennium UN Plaza during our honeymoon when Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was staying there (in fact, the same week when he gave this speech) and the only visible security was inside the hotel (we had to pass through metal detectors and bag scanners every time we entered the lobby, which was a bit annoying for two smokers).

On October 3, Individual 1 said that he had spoken to Moscow Mitch about the Ukraine phone call, and Mitch said, ‘That was the most innocent phone call that I’ve read.’ Mitch says there was no such conversation.
That is so outrageous. So such a president could not only not be charged but couldn’t even be contained to protect the public? That’s what I take away from that interpretation. Which is ridiculous on its face.
I was going to nitpick your spelling of the hotel, but it looks like they’ve changed it. It used to be the Millenium Hotel.
