This is why the seemingly innocuous term “States Rights” still gives me the shivers.
He retweeted that disgusting Trump War Room.
Bernie? Who legitimized Trump’s rants of “Lock her up!” by accusing her of stealing the election? Who was so bitter about losing he kept ranting and encouraging his fans? Ever since at least Nader, there’s been some selfish asshole doing this.
ok - I found that and thought thats what you meant - thanks
The “deep state” guys are starting to sound like ethical civil servants doing what they can to put the brakes on a runaway locomotive careening toward a line of stalled schoolbuses. Good for them.
“Unelected bureaucrats” = “trained professionals who know their jobs and care about the Constitution.” Potato, potah-to.
On that same note, I recall hearing or reading that Utah has been trying to get as many refugees as they can.
Utah and others. From the same link I posted:
Not every Republican governor is [del]bending over before[/del] in lock step with with DJT.
Yes. This article has a map showing the percent increase of immigrants–many coming as refugees–in various cities of the Mid-West. They are helping to revitalize dying local economies, so they are welcomed.
Trump’s ethno-nationalist bullshit fantasy narratives defy the reality that people can see and experience, but the propaganda machine, via Fox, Facebook, etc., is so pervasive that it displaces reality.
Somebody with access to Individual 1’s Twitter account deleted his retweet that named the whistleblower.
Individual 1 retweeted a claim that Nancy Pelosi’s son is involved in Ukrainian corruption, even though the claim has already been debunked.
My beloved St. Louis benefited greatly from the influx of immigrants from the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s. We now have a thriving Bosnian community. I’d be happy to see more people move into the region. StL is great! Please come!
Just as long as they don’t have to become fans of the Cardinals.
Oops. That re-tweet wasn’t deleted after all. It was a glitch in Twitter that made that, and much else, disappear in parts of the world. That has been fixed, and all those missing tweets are there.
The Newsweek article linked above has been updated to say so. Here also is a summary story about it at Raw Story:
Trump did not actually delete tweet outing the whistleblower — it is ‘visible all around the world’
I read somewhere that Twitter has ruled that this is NOT a violation of its TOS. :smack:
Twitter came up with an algorithm that weeded out Nazis and white supremacists. It also turned up a lot of Republicans, so they invalidated the algorithm rather than the hatemongers.
Oh, and here’s the delightful sort of assholes who vote for Trump. That’s a former member of Roy Moore’s staff, calling a 12-year-old rape victim a murderer.
They don’t appear to have any interest in calling the rapist anything at all.
The only difference between them and the fundie Muslims they rail about is opportunity and style of clothing. With all those nutjob judges they’re putting in place, they’re hoping to give themselves the opportunity to have their very own American-style Iran really soon.
Not sure what thread this is most appropriate in so I ended up here: Ex-Christian publication editor who quit says he had ‘no other choice’ after pro-Trump editorial
Now I’m conflicted. I don’t care for Mr. Trump (and his family and friends, etc.), but if he’s hastening the downfall of the American Evangelical… well, it’s just hard for me to see that as a negative, is all I’m saying.

God really does work in fucking mysterious ways.
More than 100 Gold Star families are suing several defense contractors for paying off the Taliban in order to keep their facilities from being attacked.

Aye; that’s why countries have a military in the first place: to make sure that the interests of the country are put first. You can’t outsource that.
You can if the voters let you.
