Just to be incredibly, incredibly pedantic:
“thy base impulses.” Like “a” vs. “an”; “thy” before a consonant sound, “thine” before a vowel sound.
My apologies for the diversion.
The pedant in me can’t just overlook this. The stable was what they stayed overnight in; the manger is the trough where they placed the Sweet Baby Jesus.
That bugged me, too. Knowing this is The Straight Dope, I figured someone else would correct it.

It is obvious you are not a lawyer. The word you are looking for is “tourist”.

No, it wasn’t quite that bad. A manger is a wooden trough that holds grain or hay for the livestock, and in this case it was inside the stable. Besides, he was wrapped in swaddling clothes.
Not outside, the manger is where the food for the animals is served for them; herd animals’ version of Fido’s plate. See the similarity with the French verb meaning “to eat”?

There’s a video on the official White House youtube channel in which a pastor calls homosexuality unnatural.
Individual 1 makes an offhand comment about how he is going to look into cutting Social Security and Medicare, and when called out about it, he tweets, “Democrats are going to destroy your Social Security. I have totally left it alone, as promised, and will save it!” (No mention of Medicare).
