The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Bwahahahaha!!

Well, I for one am shocked that a Republican administration led by an entertainer in steep cognitive decline bungled a public health crisis. No one could have seen that coming!

Quite honestly, I pine for the Bush Administration right about now. Really, what we need is Hank Paulson negotiating with Nancy Pelosi on how to spend a trillion or two dollars, with Tim Geithner making sure the financing will be in place and Dick Cheney strong-arming all the Republicans and Democrats to go along with the plan.

Well, there’s your problem.

Is there anyone who can honestly say they prefer Trump as president in this moment of crisis over Hillary Clinton? Anyone?

I would bet a solid 35% of the electorate.

Hopefully no one on this board, but out there in Crazyland? Yeah, I’m sure there are tens of millions of Americans coughing onto their phones as they watch their retirement savings vanish, all while saying “but Hillary would have been worse.”

Yeah, I mean the trump administration allowed important programs to expire, quietly cancelled others, and “reorganized” people who were working on others. It wasn’t all just at the CDC. Is trump the boss or not? He doesn’t get to be the big boss when announcing policies he’s interested in but disavow responsibility when he’s not personally interested in something or doesn’t want blame for a bad move.

See post 41398, Biotop. When you’re pining for the competence of the Bush Administration…

It is really sad but predictable how bad things can get by having a leader so incompetent. All those people who looked the other way in order to make money will have a lot to answer for in the future. All the Republicans who knew better but did nothing. All the deplorables who wouldn’t own up to their name. All the shills. All the greedy. All the lazy.

We should have all done more to protest. We should have been on the streets after the Mueller report. We should have been marching during the impeachment coverup. We should have demanded action when Trump turned on our allies and cozied up to dictators. When he killed Soleimani. When subpoenas were ignored. When he compromised national security to try and get other governments to interfere in our elections. When he lied about this and that and everything else over and over and over again.

We heard not once but many times from his own people how bad Trump is. There are already multiple books and I am sure there will be a lot more. We have seen the psychotic narcissism. The white supremacist affiliation. We have heard from women he assaulted. We know about his ripoff charity. His fake university. The corrupt inaugural funds misappropriation. We have heard his incomprehensible babbling. His inability to understand anything of depth, which is virtually everything. A stupid man who thinks he is a genius.

Just like the coronavirus we just thought we could hunker down and try to ride it out. That it would somehow go away. And now this.

People are going to die because of his feckless leadership in the coronavirus crisis.

And all those people making money off this presidency may well now watch it all slip away.

I suppose the price of this mistake could have been even higher. Could be much higher still.

But dear God.

I bet he’s really pissed off at his advisers today.

He was not the one who screwed it up. It was Sean Conley’s fault. He miscalculated the thorazine dosage.

Double post again! I didn’t think I hit the button twice! Shoot.

Buttery males! Benghazi! Vince Foster!

Those things are the *most important *, sheeple!

I love your post. Just wanted to say so. Agree with every word.

Hey! What about the fungus among us?

I was just thinking on the way into work today, that of all possible crises a president could face (with possibly the exception of a race war), the is probably the one that is most tailor made to highlight Trump’s incompetence.

Properly dealing with this crisis would require a president who is willing to listen to experts, tell hard truths to the public, taking actions that will result in short term hardship in the hopes of alleviating pain down the road. Its also one in which the solution will require assistance at all levels of society. The standard Republican policy of screw the poor in favor of the middle class and the rich isn’t going to work, as the disease can spread from the poor to the rich.

IF they can find a plane going their way. There was a lot of angry Americans at the Copenhagen airport today. The flights was cancelled. If the passengers are not allowed to embark, why fly the route?
It will all work out, I’m sure, in a few days.
The Danish government has today declared USA orange zone, where people must be quarantined if they return.

Der Bungle came in contact with a Brazilian dignitary on Saturday; the dignitary has since tested positive.

How’s that “hoax” thing workin’ out for ya?

It wouldn’t be the worst thing if he got the virus. Maybe he can arrange it so his former trippy doctor can certify the cause of death as “Hoax”.
