The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Missed the edit window again. I do realize that the presidential term expires in January.

If we’re real lucky, coronavirus will get the rotten fuck.

The Senate is too craven and too corrupt to remove him. The House tried, but the Senate simply ignored everything, deciding Two-Scoops was innocent before there were any charges so there was no need to listen to anything like evidence and testimony. And ShitGibbon has spent 3 years making sure anyone who might say a bad word about him is removed from any position where they might 25th Amendment him. Expecting the traitors in the Senate to grow a sack at this point of the game is like expecting Donald Jr. or Eric to actually say something insightful. Never gonna happen.

Supposedly trump tested negative for the virus. But (show of hands, please) how many of you think that we’d be told the truth if he tested positive? I don’t. This administration doesn’t believe in telling the truth about anything.

It’s worse than that. The idea arose out of Jared Kushner’s efforts to get ideas on how to address the crisis via his father-in-law’s Facebook group (I shit you not. NY Times) and was half-baked at best.

These people are so far out of their depth they may as well be in the middle of the Pacific during a hurricane.

It sounded like the Google app consisted of: do you have a fever and a cough? If yes, here’s directions to WalMart. It’s not like it’s a cure for cancer.

I know. The only place Trump cares about a buck stopping is in his and his immediate family’s bank accounts. Tax-payer dollars especially welcomed, it seems.

Due to increased screening at customs and everyone trying to get into or out of the US before the expanded travel ban takes effect Monday, major airports are a clusterfuck at the moment. I’m seeing a lot of tweets with pictures from O’Hare and other airports of people crammed together cheek-by-jowl waiting for customs (example). So while much of the country is shutting down to prevent people gathering together, airports have become a public health tinderbox.

Schadenfreude. Fuck. This will take Trump down. We only need a few thousand people in a few states to get rid of him. But how many people will die because he said it was a hoax, or that it was ok to go to work because you will get better, I’ve seen videos of MAGA-hat-wearing idiots saying the virus was no more than the common cold…well you all know the bullshit.

We will never know how many people who had flu-like symptons and did not go to the doctor and who went to work and infected others. Because their leader, and Rush Limbaugh, and FOX news, said it was ok.

I will take great pleasure in the downfall of Trump. But at what cost? People are going to fucking die to make this happen.

Anyone who has watched HBO’s Chernobyl will immediately recognize how superior their crisis management was compared to our approach to COVID-19.

And yet the Chernobyl disaster was a major factor for the fall of the Soviet Union.

Aha! That’s why he’s so happy to have “acting” members of his administration. If he could get the entire cabinet staffed by nothing but “acting secretaries”, then he could claim they don’t have the constitutional authority to remove him.

Great metaphor! You know what I like most about it? Hurricanes are in the Atlantic, while the Pacific has typhoons. That’s not only how far out of their depth these clowns are, but also how far off they are.

Speaking of which, didn’t that damn dirty fucking lying sack of dung promise to have a cure for cancer?

At this point, I honestly do not feel bad, God forgive me, for the magats who die from their stupidity. I think we all should have realized that somehow Trump was going to get people killed. Well, he’s managed to do so a few different ways thus far, always blaming others, and the magats still support him.

That’s pretty sad when the Soviet Union’s crisis management then was better than that of the United States now.

:smack: LOL, I knew I should have left it at, “big ass storm.” In the moment I wrote it, it didn’t seem right… but I couldn’t work out exactly what was wrong. Glad if it gave you a laugh.

Chernobyl was a symptom of the deep and irreversible decay that had rotted out the once-superpower. Much like Trump 2016, truth be told.

Nah; I think the way you put it is perfect and for the reason I said.

Checking the twitter thread you linke, I noticed the trumpeters still support Trump and blame the Democrats for the problem. They seem to have a very serious problem with differentiating between state and federal responsibilities.

Where’s the long-form test certificate?

Hah!

I wonder if the doctor’s spouse and other family members are staying in the same house with the doctor for the foreseeable future (the next fortnight).

Having just seen The Magnificent Seven on the big screen this week, I’m reminded of what Calvera told the gang after he got the drop on them. “What’s going to happen to these people is going to happen to them whether you’re still alive or not.”

People are going to die whether it triggers Trump’s downfall or not. Might as well hope he’s gone come January. I don’t want anybody to die but if someone’s refusing to jump out of the way of a truck because someone they thought deserved their trust told them it’s not really there, I’m finding it hard to be sympathetic.

Looks like Trump is apparently attempting to buy his way out of a disaster he helped exacerbate with the added bonus of sticking it to non-Americans. And, I’m willing to bet a lot of MAGAsses will say this is an example of the benefit of having a genius businessman like Trump in charge.
