The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

Anyone watching the briefing can tell me why he was refusing to answer those two reporters

Exactly
A N95 mask is used if there’s a chance of aerosol contamination, like if you have to intubate someone to put them on a ventilator. Shockingly, there seems to be a need to do that more than normally. Once it’s been used for that it needs to be discarded. Reusing it puts the wearer at risk.
Accusing NYC healthcare workers of selling them out the back door of their hospitals is so incredibly offensive I can’t even find words.

Projection.

This is what Donald J. Trump would do if he was a healthcare worker in New York. Because he’s a sociopathic piece of shit.

Strangely enough, he didn’t demand payment. Still incredibly stupid.
The US Sent Tons of Medical Supplies to China Even as Senators Warned of Virus Threat Here

Clever.

That piece of crap the Republican party foisted upon us (to our doom, apparently, now) just cannot shut the fuck up.

What great things, you malignant fester? You’re the one who wanted to “open the country by Easter”. Dollars to donuts you don’t remember mouthing off and saying that. And if you think that just two months from now, the United States will be “well on its way to recovery”, you’re more insane than I already thought you are. China’s been dealing with this for just over three months and is not “well on its way to recovery”. Communities are blocked off so only residents can enter after they get their temperature checked to enter any store, including of course grocery stores. Many businesses are still closed; some have gone bankrupt already. Many places are requiring people to upload their phone’s GPS data to ensure they have been in the city longer than the 14-day quarantine (I just had to do that yesterday on my way into a grocery store). Not only has China banned foreign nationals from entering the country, Beijing tightens outbound travel as pandemic worsens overseas.

And what’s your new metric on determining if you’re doing a good job?

[qoute]Trump said that if the US death toll is held to 100,000, “we all together have done a very good job”.
[/quote]

That’s THREE TIMES the number of deaths world-wide thus far from this pandemic.

You piece of shit.

I can’t wait to see you in jail.

Perhaps, but Randy is not, though he might have made Messieurs Gilbert and Sullivan wish they had never been born.

Right now Trump is very careful about holding his press conferences during the evening news hour–at a time when a large percentage of people are naturally are already watching the news. That way, the news shows that people actually want to watch are forced to switch the Trump, which forces more people to watch him than normally would.

The only thing the Trump cares about right now is his image. He doesn’t give a shit about the pandemic. All that matters to him is putting on a bullshit fantasy show where he can claim that he’s the hero in all this.

He’s already set the goalposts for having done a “great job” at 100K dead. Don’t sprain your arm patting yourself on the back, Donny.

Meanwhile, is Pence’s social distancing plan now being called “45 days to slow the spread”? Just curious.

Well, I guess that’s proof that the Feds are playing favorites under Trump’s direction. He’s engaged in not ethnic cleansing so much as political cleansing and he doesn’t care if it kills people.

If Trump is responsible for certain states receiving less aid than they otherwise could be getting, then he is allowing people to die to score political points. To put it diplomatically. But if this is happening, how can the states’ requests go through Trump peronally? Don’t we have departments for that? How can Trump be responsible for deciding who gets what? Sounds like a really big flaw in the system.

He was exactly like that with his rhetoric during the campaign and after he got elected. This is not new for that scoundrel.

Do you work for someone? Do you have a feel for how they want things done, or do you ask them about every item that comes across your desk?

The stations are not FORCED to switch to trump. All TV and radio news should stop covering his briefings as some journalists have suggested. NPR has stopped carrying them.

My bold.

Allow me to quote The Messiah from 23 Oct, 2014:

In 2014 there were eleven cases of ebola in the United States. Eleven. Two people died. Two.

In another thread, Snowboarder Bo posted that there were (as of last night) 142,178 confirmed coronavirus infections in the U.S., and 2,484 have died.

And yet, The Messiah insists he’s doing a great job.

This isn’t true, is it? For the Seattle affiliate, sure, but this isn’t a general policy across all NPR stations.

May we assume that it is permissible to wish him dead of natural causes? I’m kind enough to wish a quick and painless cardiac arrest rather than from explosive diarrhea.
Anyway, El Bozo implies that medical staff are selling protection equipment out the back door. I firmly believe that goes against their ethics and humanity, moreover they’re too busy and exhausted after double shifts of trying to keep people alive. New York gets questioned about why they need so much stuff while Florida gets triple what they asked for. Now he’s going to claim that <100,000 deaths will indicate a great job by him. At least he’s giving us a yardstick to measure his failure.

Can someone explain this to me? I don’t get it.

I grew up with Gilligan’s Island and understand the on-its-face meaning, but don’t get any relevance to the current situation.

Thanks!

“We” aren’t listening to the scientific experts but to a bloviating “billionaire” in the White House.

“Don’t listen to the bloviating rich idiot; listen to the educated experts.”
