Let’s see…there are 2 possible explanations:
1 He really believes his own bullshit, and is really truly taking it. Which means he’s a moron, and may possibly have a heart attack and die.
2 He’s lying, and this is another attempt to pump up the value of hydroxychloriquone for god knows what reason. He’s a lying crook.
Of course in actuality he is a lying moron crook, but it remains to be seen whether he’s lying/crooked in this particular case.

Yeah, I was kinda wondering about that. They seem to have fully bought into the concept of “truthiness”, not realizing it was meant to be sarcastic.

I shall go out on a limb here and say that he is lying about this. I know, it is very risky to accuse Individual-ONE of lying, but I feel confident that he is not actually taking the stuff. At the very least, WH medical staff are giving him cleverly disguised aspirin.

3 He’s lying because he knows this will dominate the news cycle–completely knocking out both the latest statistics on COVID19 deaths and infections in the USA, AND the scandal of Pompeo-selling-arms-to-the-Saudis, then firing the IG who was looking into that.
Some combination of 2 and 3 is my guess.
The rumor I heard is that Mel convinced them to give him excessive doses of the blue pill – she hopes that it will result in irreparable damage, so that she will not have to deal with that sweaty lump of disgustingness ever again. And, of course, it will forever put to rest the rumor that he fucks pigs.
