The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

I’m fairly confident this was ordered to be coinciding with the Trump speech, so the audience could hear the sounds of warfare while the Strong Man President declared that he was Taking Control.

Insurrection act of 1807 invoked, thousands and thousands of military troops deployed to American cities. Neatly timed to coincide as peaceful protesters are gassed and fired upon with flash bangs and rubber bullets.

Welcome to the end. This was the Kristallnacht that Trump and his merry band of fascist enablers (cough Miller cough) have been waiting for.

And now he’s heading to St Johns Church for a photo op.

Did you all catch the dog whistle in the Moron-in-Chief’s statement. Along the lines of protect 2nd Amendment Rights?? He’s fucking telling people it’s OK to shoot!! Right?? I have guns, plenty, so this is not an anti-gun statement - but someone please tell me I’m wrong, and that’s not his dog whistle to his supporters to shoot these protesters!!

Holy fucking shit. If he actually goes through with thousands of armed troops in the streets I may have finally found what gets me off my ass of course the second amendment may not go the way the dipshit hopes.

That’s exactly what he’s doing. He wants this whipped up even more, to give him the excuse he needs to go into cities with armed troops and start busting heads and arresting Democrats. This is all about the final stage in obtaining permanent power.

CNN has just pointed out that the insurrection act only gives him the authority to deploy troops inside the district of Columbia. Sending troops to a state would require an invitation from the governor.

And he literally walked across the street to pose for a picture waving a Bible. And then left.

Link?

So we can expect deployments to Arkansas, Alabama, Florida… Need I continue?

He can do whatever he wants. Who exactly is going to stop him? Minnesota national guard?

The governor of Illinois just said that he won’t stand for it. I don’t think we’ll see any uninvited army troops …its all just the usual Trump bluster.

I was watching it live on cnn- it may be that he’s simply readying things but may still give"weak" governors a chance to pull things up. The military police firing rubber bullets and tear gas was moments before he started talking.

Troops moving in DC now. Trump will try this out first, and see if he can get the situation even more whipped up. Then see what happens.

I predict a next step will be muzzling certain members of the media, or entire outlets, for reporting things he does not like.

And the peaceful protesters at the church were cleared away with rubber bullets so that he could have a photo op holding up a book he never has read in front of it.

Exactly.

Yes, and yes.

All the news and public reaction (Twitter, mostly) I was exposed to today focused on ridicule of Bunker Boy and on posturing about ‘no justice no peace.’

I’m sorry to be criticizing the latter group as I know their reaction comes from living with genuine oppression. But the 'you had better do what we want or else’ swagger is ludicrous in the face of the power of a President to become a full-fledged fascist dictator.

And that’s what we’re looking at—with the enthusiastic support of Senators like Tom Cotton and Marsha Blackburn, Justices and other federal judiciary, and media titans like Mark Zuckerberg, who is apparently all-in on supporting Trump as Prez-for-Life.

This is real and it’s going to be very, very bad.

I’m keeping an eye on the DC protests.

Everybody seems pretty chill, but the sun hasn’t gone down yet.

Peaceful protest is a vital part of any nation that actually values the rule of law (as opposed to paying it lip service).

But I’m going to question why peaceful protest needs to happen after dark. Darkness brings out the opportunists and the agents provocateur.

March and occupy in the daylight. Otherwise you’re just helping the fascists, who can easily stage false-flag incidents in the darkness.
eta: I’m not talking about multi-day events like sit-ins or chained-to-the-gate or hunger strikes; I’m talking about moving through the streets.

It provides SO much help to Trump. I’m not seeing how it’s helpful to the cause (in this case of changing American policing). Why help Trump by staying out after dark?

The rubber bullets, tear gas, and flash bangs were all in daylight just now. So Trump could have a photo op in front of the church.
