My nickname for Kayleigh McEnany looks ever more appropriate: “Mouth of Trump”
“Vacuous mouthpiece (Ver 4)”
That may be, but the military is only a miniscule fraction of the population.
As I’ve often said, Trump could never, ever get away with his behavior - never would have had a shot in hell at the presidency to begin with - in the days when the majority of American males would have been expected to serve in the military. But the horse is out of the barn with that one. “The military” is little more than an abstraction to most contemporary Americans, and while conservatives may revel in virtue signalling pageantry idealizing the troops, that seems to be where their actual commitment ends.
Sorry, there is no version number. It is all the same “person”.
It would be more effective if we could get Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to publicly come out in favor of dropping atomic bombs on hurricanes.
Hey, get them to come out in favor of teargas, or… wait, I know, lying to the American people!
Barack: “Look, Donnnnald, I would never release my tax returns.”
Hillary: “And I would never reveal my ties to Russia.”
Let’s start from scratch shall we Sylvia? How about making it illegal to conspire with a hostile foreign government to subvert an election. Skating on the line of treason. We will do baby steps. But next we can talk about extortion, obstruction of justice and those oh, about a hundred other things.
Good God, Sylvia. That’s legislation?
Ah, but Trump will point out that the law would only “prohibit the president from unleashing any strategic weapon to alter weather patterns or respond to climate change”. (emphasis added)
He will still be able to use tactical nukes (possibly packed with hydroxychloroquine for added punch).
True enough, but they may be reflective of a much larger group.
When you add in their families and then add to that ex-military people and their families, the number is less trivial. How many have served since the Gulf War or even since 9/11? It’s gotta be a big number.

Trump is finally building his “Wall”, only it’s around the White House:
With White House effectively a fortress, some see Trump’s strength — but others see weakness
Is Mexico paying for this one too?
I don’t know. If you asked me what the worst thing about Donald Trump was, his access to nuclear weapons would be there at number one.
No, of course the black community has to pay for that wall.
Well, if Trump loses the election, I’d happily have some of my taxes pay for Trump to live in another type of fortified, secure building.
Yeah…although I found her logic somewhat confusing. She strongly endorses the statement and says how important it is to be said (and even that it should have been said earlier) but then goes on to say that she is “struggling” with whether to support Trump for re-election.
I mean, Mattis’s statement basically compares Trump to the Nazis and talks about him as a threat to the Constitution…and Murkowski is thinking, “Hmmm…Nazis or the Constitution, boy that’s a hard choice”?
And in related news -
Serbia Deploys Peacekeeping Forces To U.S.
'…Serbian president Vojislav Kostunica deployed more than 30,000 peacekeeping troops to the U.S. Monday, pledging full support to the troubled North American nation as it struggles to establish democracy. …An additional 10,000 troops are expected to arrive in the capital city of Washington, D.C. by Friday…"
Twitter took down a video from the Individual 1 campaign for a copyright violation.
The spokeswoman for the State Department put out a tweet criticizing China for their actions in Hong Kong, and the spokeswoman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry replied, “I can’t breathe.”
Well in fairness, Trump may be a nazi, but the democrats did just perpetrate the biggest political scandal in history.
Which was…erm…did Obama wear a tweed suit?
Anyway, you know what it is. And that’s why her conscience might make her endorse magaman.
It’s fun to see that spokeswoman get pwned, but bear in mind, unfortunately, that Chinese media is trying to draw parallels between the protests in the US and the human rights protests in Hong Kong (BBC news).
Which, you may notice, makes no sense at all – what exactly is the principled stand the CPC is supposedly taking here? But it’s the old trick of accusing another party of hypocrisy to deflect from your own.
