Demanding personal loyalty instead of adherence to the rule of law from a top ranking law enforcement officer is an act unbecoming of the head of state of a democracy. It demonstrates Donald Trump is un-American and disloyal to the country he purports to serve.
A true patriot is loyal to the nation, not a person who was hired to hold an office.
Strangely, the term “Trump Derangement Syndrome” appears to be more applicable to Trump’s supporters than his detractors these days. The sheer denial of even basic observable facts by the Trumpistas is astounding.
Oh, I believe that he believes that shit. He trolls by pretending not to understand why people might be concerned about a President demanding “loyalty” from someone investigating his administration, or how that might constitute obstruction of justice. He trolls by pretending to be even stupider than he actually is, which is no mean feat.
I would counter that the last thing the director of the FBI should do is show up for a Senate hearing wearing pasties and a thong and do a pole-dance to “Cherry Pie” and “Push It,” but that loyalty oath thing is way up there.
