I am in favor of this kind of approach, while Trump & Co. seem determined that the government never lend a hand to any poor sick person ever. It will be interesting to see how the two approaches play out side-by-side in real time. It could become, “What’s the matter with Kansas (and 48 other states that aren’t California)?”, though I will wait and see before declaring that Utopia has been achieved.

I am not sure it hinges on Medicaid funding- one of the arguments in favor of this plan is that Washington is poised to wreck the ACA. How to pay for it is not settled, though they appear serious about raising taxes by $200 billion a year.
