Fuck off, idiot.
I forgot one thing, EE. I’m not implying you are a liar. I’m stating it flat out. You are a liar.
Wow. I figured that all of the TrumpSuckers here had been flushed out from under their rocks long before now.
This Enuma Elish seems to be just as profoundly stupid, delusional and willfully ignorant as Humpy.
This is a huge illustration of why our politics are so divided - the right utterly disregards anything close to balanced news coverage as slanted “fake news.” Instead they rely on Fox News and Breitbart and all the news sources reassuring them that they are right, it’s good to be scared, the liberals are all America-hating scum … oh, and Hillary killed people. Talk about your safe spaces - try to get your news from a variety of sources instead of the right-wing bubble.
Not having common ground on what we call “news” or “journalism” is killing democracy. You think Woodward and Bernstein would have had any success if this environment existed in 1973? The Post would have been derided as “fake news” and the Republican base would have never pushed their Congressmen and Senators for Nixon’s impeachment, which is the only thing that worked.
This is absolutely ridiculous on its face. From Obamacare to the Supreme Court nomination to McConnell’s statement of making Obama a one-term President, to say the GOP “gave him a chance” is so disconnected with reality that we can ignore every other thing you say, including that your screen name is Enuma Elish.
Damn straight. I fear we will never make any progress with anything as long as this is the case.
I’m always amazed when hardcore Fox News watchers, a network with a (proven, documented) > 60% pure bullshit factor, and consumers of far right media with even higher bullshit factors, try to call out CNN and other sources as being biased.
I also note that they ALWAYS cite CNN and assume their opponents are getting their information from it.
But it does seem that “You watch the lies about Trump on CNN and believe them” is a Talking Point of the moment for those people. I’ve seen that specifically stated by several recent trolls here and on other boards.
Which doesn’t really doesn’t point to any credibility on EE’s part that he’s simply repeating today’s right wing bullshit talking point.
Which, sadly, means never.
More lies from the lying liar.
I am very supportive of the Senate #HealthcareBill. Look forward to making it really special!

But previously:
I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. The government’s gonna pay for it.

and
We’re going to have insurance for everybody. There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.

and
I am going to save Medicare and Medicaid.

Sad!
There are very few people who don’t lie less than Trump.
The vast majority of them are Trump’s supporters and shills, repeating his lies, and adding ‘he didn’t lie’ on top.
go tend that bridge
Anyone who says CNN is “fake news” is swimming in the orange kool-aid and is not worth debating. On to the the ignore list you go!
Also try to find a politician who lies less than Hillary. What side of the aisle are they on?
It’s pretty easy to talk without a teleprompter if you don’t really care about what you’re saying or who you’re saying it to. If most of what you say is bragging about how awesome you are and you’re not concerned about facts or hurting people, then it’s probably pretty easy to just start talking. Stream-of-consciousness speaking is not that hard.
How are they supposed to “give him a chance”? Do you mean they should just acquiesce to whatever he wants? Because that’s pretty much what he and the Republican-dominated Congress expect. There’s no way the Pubs are going to de-harsh some of their robber baron policies, even if the Dems get on their knees and beg, so what else is there for them to do?
The “Obama teleprompter” meme is kind of a shibboleth, by which we can identify people who only know what Fox News and Rush Limbaugh tell them, and discount the evidence of their own eyes. Obama got tagged with that canard on Day One, and it persisted in right-wing talking points for 8 years. So anyone who makes that claim can be dismissed as totally uninterested in using their own brain cells.
Well, not both at the same time! I mean, come on!
Yeah. Where, exactly, is the compromise to be found between “we think even poor people should have access to health care” and “we’d rather give the rich more tax cuts”?
“Read both sides”
I swear to Moloch that I do my level best to visit the Fox and Breitbart sites several times a week to see what’s up on the Other Side. Has anyone advice on how to navigate the comments sections without puking?
Leave aside the spelling errors and lack of grammar or punctuation. Forget the inability to construct a cogent argument. I’ve read the most vile racist and sexist things there I’ve seen anywhere on the internet. “Cunt Hillary, hur hur, lock 'er up!” “She’d be 100 times worse, with that ugly face.”
“Pajama boy.” I saw a half-dozen references to “pajama boy” before I realized they were talking about Obama. What the fuck does that even mean? That he wears funny clothes because he’s a Kenyan Muslim, or that he enjoys naps?
Following the article on Obama’s statement against the McConnell healthcare bill, one shithead actually wrote “Shut up, boy. The grown-ups are talking.” I’ve been trying to shake that sentence out of my head for 48 hours now.
How am I supposed to NOT assume all right-wingers are Neanderthals after reading this kind of thing? William Buckley is spinning in his grave. Hell, COOLIDGE is spinning in his grave.
Why?
Leaving aside “boy”, I would note that many years ago, Winnie was (rightly or wrongly) tagged with the quote “A man who is not a communist at 20 has no heart; a man who still is at 30 has no head.” He was a large, famous Tory, so those toward the right have tucked that notion into the fold in their brains. Hence, if you are not a callous sociopath, you have not grown up yet. You can be the most eloquent triple-PhD who can clearly and convincingly respond to all comers, but if you show the slightest hint of namby-pambiness, you need to grow up, kid. This is the real world, where stupid and heartless beats brilliant and empathical, every time.
The thing that pisses me off the most is the endless fucking projection. Freud would have a frelling field day:
[ul]
[li]“No, YOU are the ones with the fake news!”[/li]
[li]“The moral vacuity!”[/li]
[li]“The lying politicians!”[/li]
[li]“The Obstructionism!”[/li]
[li]“The anti-bipartisanship!”[/li]
[li]“The sexual predators!”[/li][/ul]
JUST ONCE I’d like to see one of them truly own up to the real reasons they supported the essobee (and his ilk), tie Wonder Woman’s lasso around their ass,
squeeze painfully, then see what they say then. [An exercise I’ll leave to the next poster] But they have no sack by which to sack it all up and admit responsibility, either…
Surely you know what it means to call a black man “boy”.
