The Trump Administration: A Clusterfuck in the Making

I so want to believe there were scenes of Trump, Bannon, Kusher et all. standing in lobies all over Hamburg screaming about how important they are, and they need a room, while dozens of German John Cleese desk managers tell them to fück off.

I know it didn’t happen, but I can still dream.

I have a hard time believing it. The Secret Service is just too professional to not have sent advance teams to the hotel, and if there wasn’t one booked they surely would have made that known.

That’s exactly what I was picturing too.

I agree with you to some degree. But on the other hand, I can absolutely imagine the Secret Service sending requests to know where they need to go and the requests being unanswered because the State Dept is understaffed. It is ultimately very hard to say because there will always be information that we’re not privy too, but I really don’t have that hard of a time imagining that the Trump administration is that poorly run.

Plus, the thought of Trump throwing a tantrum when he finds out he can’t get a hotel room or being a little bit miserable because he isn’t in a luxury hotel is just too pleasing a thought to simply dismiss.

You don’t think Trmup hasn’t already told Secret Service people to fuck off more than once? It’s also likely that the meat of this story happened weeks ago.

I can totally see the security logistics people asking where the accommodations would be, only to be blown off until they stopped giving a shit.

Supply side economics always works, according to republicans.

Demand follows supply, and pillar of failed republican economic policies.

I have a new dog and he shits seven times a day. And here we’ve just been throwing out all this supply. I’m starting a business.

My favorite part of the linked story is the tidbit that the Saudi king takes camels ( because he needs FRESH camel milk, none of that canned stuff for him!) and a golden escalator with him wherever he travels. Sometimes two golden escalators, because you’ve gotta have a spare.

But I bet Trump is sooooo jealous! I mean, he kicked off his campaign on a boring regular non-golden escalator. Leave it to the Saudis to out-Trump Trump. I wonder if King Salman would let him have a ride if he asks nice and prays to the orb.

One Hamburg hotel has gone to great lengths to offer a Trump-themed room, though:

A stay of 2 nights has been auctioned off at eBay; the proceeds (winning bid: 905 €) to go to a climate protection charity.

That ad is fun, I especially liked the Mexican chocolate

Presumably if all else fails with regard to visit accommodations, Trump could always stay on Air Force 1. I know there’s a bedroom; I presume there’s a shower etc.

Since there are references to “Trump guest house” in Hamburg, apparently accommodations were found.

I was thinking more generally. Obviously even AF1 would be cramped compared to a hotel suite but surely it’s suitable for a few days’ residence and business quarters.

Would it really? Would they be able to run the a/c in the plane from ground-based power? Surely they couldn’t keep the engines running all that time. Not sure if they could have much of a shower, typically planes don’t carry a ton of water.

Credit where (partial) credit is due: Trump named an apparently decent person to head the CDC, Georgia Health Commissioner Brenda Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald’s selection is pissing off antivaxers, because she’s demonstrated strong support for immunization.

The downside is that Trump and GOP leaders are planning significant cuts in CDC funding, so Fitzgerald would wind up presiding over a weakened agency.

You know it’s Obama’s fault that Trump didn’t have a hotel room. This conference was announced in February 2016; he should have booked ahead for the next president [/Trumpologist].

Also, who else thinks that Trump would love to stay in that Trump room linked above without a shred of irony.

Uh huh.

Trump promised he would work with Congress to introduce for passage in the first 100 days the Repeal and Replace Obamacare Act - “Next, I will work with Congress to introduce the following broader legislative measures and fight for their passage within the first 100 days of my administration. … The Repeal and Replace Obamacare Act. Fully repeal Obamacare and replace it with health savings accounts. We can do that.”

Trump promised he would work with Congress to introduce for passage in the first 100 days the American Energy and Infrastructure Act - “Next, I will work with Congress to introduce the following broader legislative measures and fight for their passage within the first 100 days of my administration. … The American Energy and Infrastructure Act, leverages public/private partnerships and private investment through tax incentives to spur $1 trillion in infrastructure investment over the next ten years.”

Trump promised he would work with Congress to introduce for passage in the first 100 days the Restoring National Security Act - “Next, I will work with Congress to introduce the following broader legislative measures and fight for their passage within the first 100 days of my administration. … Restoring National Security Act, which rebuilds our military, by eliminating the defense sequester, which has been very tough for our military and expanding military investment. … It also provides our great veterans with the ability to receive public VA treatment or attend a private doctor of their choice.”

Trump promised he would work with Congress to introduce for passage in the first 100 days a bill to end the Offshoring Act - “Next, I will work with Congress to introduce the following broader legislative measures and fight for their passage within the first 100 days of my administration. … End the Offshoring Act, establish tariffs to discourage companies from laying off their workers in order to relocate in other countries and ship their products back to the United States tax-free.”

Trump promised he would fight for passage of tax cut in first 100 days - “Next I will work with Congress to introduce a series of legislative reforms and will fight for their passage in the first 100 days of my administration. This legislation quickly includes the Middle Class Tax Relief and Simplification Act.”

Trump promised he would work with Congress to introduce for passage in the first 100 days a middle class tax relief bill - “Next, I will work with Congress to introduce the following broader legislative measures and fight for their passage within the first 100 days of my administration. … Middle class tax relief and simplification act. An economic plan designed to grow the economy 4% per year and create at least 25 million new jobs through massive tax reduction and simplification in combination with trade reform, regulatory relief and lifting the restrictions on American energy. … The largest tax reductions are for the middle class. … The middle class with family of two children will get basically approximately a 35% tax cut. … The current number of brackets will be reduced from seven to three. And tax forms will likewise be greatly simplified. The business rate will be lowered from 35% to 15%. And the trillions of dollars of American corporate money overseas can now be brought back at a 10% rate.

Trump promised he would work with Congress to introduce for passage in the first 100 days the Clean Up Corruption in Washington Act -
“Next, I will work with Congress to introduce the following broader legislative measures and fight for their passage within the first 100 days of my administration. … Clean Up Corruption in Washington Act. Enacts tough new ethics reforms, to reduce the corrupting influence of special interests, and donors, on our politics.”

Trump promised he would work with Congress to introduce for passage in the first 100 days the Affordable Child Care and Elder Care Act -
“Next, I will work with Congress to introduce the following broader legislative measures and fight for their passage within the first 100 days of my administration. … Affordable Child Care and Elder Care Act allows Americans to deduct child care and elder care from their taxes. Incentivizes employers to provide on-site — so important — child care services. And you see that with a couple of companies, and it’s such a great thing to see. And creates tax-free dependent care savings accounts for both young and elderly dependents with matching contributions for low-income families. So good.”

Trump promised he would impose new Secretary of State ethics rules - “Number one, the first 100 days… we’re going to impose tough new ethics rules to restore dignity to the Office of the Secretary of State.”

Trump promised not to close borders through executive orders. - “All I’m saying is I’ll make great deals and we’ll get them done and we don’t to have use executive orders and all the stuff that Obama is using which at some point, I would imagine the courts are going to overrule in one form or another. But we’re not going to be opening our borders or closing our orders based on executive orders. We’re going to do it. We will get along well.”

And there’s the tax return disclosure (NEVER gonna happen), promised divestiture or at least baking away from private business affairs while in office (never gonna happen), draining the swamp, hiring only the bestest people ever, etc etc etc etc etc ad nauseum.

This bastard and his cronies (such as Tillerson) have never kept a promise or honored a deal in their lvies, unless they were forced to. Divest??? Hahahahahahahahaha

Try it and see

That’s just donald. I was talking about someone posting on this very site who assured me of these things. You just can’t believe anyone nowadays.

Bad Touch!
