Came here to acknowledge this, despite many already have.
Maybe the most comprehensive (hence - yeah, hairy as shit, and I don’t mean hirsute either!) piece I’ve read on the dysfunction going on this administration.
Many folk I’ll be forwarding this to.
And to think that your basic Trump supporter would read that, and more than likely dismiss it, makes me all the more realise what a shitty, probably unmendable divide going on.
It blows my mind. This is all such conservative shit to care about, for one thing. Nuclear arsenal? Power grid? North Korea? Iran? PAY THE FUCK ATTENTION.
This is why I got so pissed off when people announced that Mike Pence would be ‘‘more dangerous than Trump’’ because he actively oppresses gays and women. Fuck no, he’s not more dangerous. There is nothing worse than across-the-board incompetence, and this level of incompetence is unprecedented in the history of the US Office.
Thanks. Those losing healthcare include some military veterans. Amazing how the Republicans and Trump always neglect that fact, isn’t it?
Keep in mind, this is ALL in line with President Bannon’s well known agenda to tear the country down. The drunk fuck doesn’t even try to hide it. And Trump listens to two people - Putin and Bannon.
**“I’m a Leninist … Lenin wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal too. I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment.” **
Except he isn’t a Leninist, he’s a fucking Nazi.
No kidding! The very first person who held the office literally had no predecessor to look to for guidance in what the President of the United Stares should do, how he should conduct himself. And 200 years after his death, people still respect the guy. Can you imagine what would have happened if Trump had been our first president?
Bannon taught Il Douche how to embellish the Big Lie by setting it on fire, and get away with it. Buy once he learned that trick, what else does Bannon bring. Besides, by now, Trump has convinced himself that it was his idea all along.
England would still be in charge?
Hmmm. Might not be a bad thing, considering ::dubious:
I just posted this link on my Facebook page and I hope it gets lots of shares…that is an excellent article…and the last few paragraphs left me shaking my head in disbelief.
The united states would have fractured back into the un-united states within two years. This is simple fact; the young nation didn’t have much holding it together and there were vicious political fights in the highest level of government. Washington’s careful politicking and great speeches, along with the high degree of personal respect and admiration that people had for him, was the only thing that kept it even as coherent as it was in the early years.
And of course after fragmenting back into states, the various powers of england, spain, and france would have gradually nibbled away at the states until there was nothing left.
“With the exception of the late great Abraham Lincoln I could be more presidential than any president who has ever held this office"
real easy
I read about half of it, and will continue tomorrow.
These fuckers have no idea what they are doing. Apparently never did.
Trump is still in his ‘reality’ show, looking for the next ‘apprentice’ to fire.
As Nero fiddles.
How wonderful it would be if he could be more presidential than William Henry Harrison.
Dancing With the Stars is trying to get Sean Spicer.

This tweet by the Mooch is widely being interpreted as the new Communication director asking the FBI to investigate the Chief of Staff. The circular firing squad continues.
CNN now reporting that Scaramucci has gone to the FBI to file a complaint against Reince Priebus for leaking his financial information (which, by the way, is public information).
The first two responses to that tweet are awesome:
Is he correct? The form Scaramucci is bitching about being “leaked” is really publicly available?
Moochy’s tweet seems to have been pulled.
You know, before the election, Elezier Yudkowsky wrote an excellent take on Trump and policy:
It does occur to me, though, that I might be presuming too much in supposing that other people realize that there’s a Level B [(the serious level)] in politics as well. Maybe if you grow up with the modern media, it’s easy to think that the Level A [(the theater level)] is all that exists and there is no deadly serious politics, that people clutching at their pearls and fainting is as serious as anything ever gets.
At this point the analogy to science breaks down, because in science, the Level B above the Discovery Channel is a virtuous place where you find the real pursuit of truth. The Level B in politics is not in the same way the repository of true concern for truly important things. But the Level B in Washington DC, the issues that people take seriously unlike insider trading, is also not just sociopaths reacting to disasters that are so bad that their own personal hometown might get a nuclear missile. The Level B does contain more stuff than that. The Level B is also not the upper ranks of the Illuminati where they discuss how to keep power and worry about things so bad that they might affect their personal stock prices, because there aren’t any Illuminati and Washington DC doesn’t work like that either. It’s not the level at which people are just trying to do their jobs, because nobody in Washington DC is just trying to do their jobs.
But it is the level where you worry about things like the stability of the Europe-Russia border, not because a journalist is going to clutch their pearls in offense because you don’t seem concerned enough, but because you actually care about the stability of the Europe-Russia border. Yes, there are people in Washington DC like that.
It’s a long post, and it’s worth reading all of it. But the basic gist of it is there - there’s a level of politics that is theater (which, yes, includes many things you might take very seriously, such as gun control, sexual assault, abortion, etc.), and a level of politics that is deadly serious, and basically everyone is and has to be on board with that second level, because if they aren’t, the world is going to explode. And Trump doesn’t recognize that difference, and doesn’t have smart people informing him about that decision.
That was before the election. It’s seeming disturbingly prescient now. Much of what the DOE does seems to count to that second level. This is why electing people who know what the fuck they’re doing matters.
WTF is an Ambassador At Large for Religious Freedom? That’s a joke, right? Like naming Calista Gingrich as Ambassador to the Vatican? Oh well, at least Kansas is finally rid of that idiot Brownback.
All the right wing assclowns in Kansas are moving up to the national level. Not sure if I should be happy or horrified.
