Time to increase sanctions, file racketeering charges against any of Trump’s money laundering buddies we find stateside, and ya know that collection of buildings Russia wanted trump to return to them?? Burn the fuckers down.
Finally we should send Ukraine a gold plated engraved invitation to join NATO. “An attack against one of us is an attack against ALL of us”. You know, that "thing Trump “forgot” about during his dumpster fire of a road trip in Europe.
Because it’s not just the orange orangutan’s fault. The entire GOP is hell-bent on fucking over the citizenry. Every single one of them needs to be recalled or voted out as soon as possible.
Some, yeah. In 2016, nearly all the republicans turned out, and many of the democrats stayed home.
There are plenty of places where it doesn’t make a difference, 10% of the R’s will beat all the dems, but there are also plenty of places where the district is more mixed. More of the democrats show up, and some of the republicans stay home, and there should be enough seats to change the majority. I certainly don’t think they are going to be picking up all the seats, or something like that, but enough? That’s a distinct possibility.
It was interesting flipping between CNN and Fox News during the fallout from the Mooch’s foul mouth. At times, the criticism of the White House on Fox was harsher than on CNN. Krauthammer was calling it disgraceful. They had a quote on the screen from an unnamed WH staffer saying they didn’t feel safe at work anymore.
And the Senate voted to implement sanctions on Russia 98-2. The two no votes were Rand and Sanders. I don’t know why Bernie voted no. I’d like to hear.
Is trump able to remove the sanctions before the bill goes into effect? Even with veto proof numbers, he can still hold it 10 days before he has to sign or veto. Could he not just go ahead and do all the stuff the bill says he will not be allowed to do in that window?
He’s in the middle of another rambling word-salad speech right now, ostensibly talking about gang violence, but it isn’t at all, except for brief periods of respite when he actually looks at a teleprompter and reads real, intelligent words. Mostly, his gaze drifts away and he starts going off some wild tangent, mumbling, stumbling, bragging, jumping from one topic to another - there’s got to be a jumble of staffers just off stage with all of their sphincter’s knotting up on them every time they see his eyes lose focus.
No, but he’s now saying he was right all along about Healthcare, “I’ve been saying it the whole time, ‘let Obamacare implode and then fix it, see, I was right all along.’”*
And now he just encouraged the practice of police brutality, “Don’t be too nice during arrests. Like when you hold their head down, protecting it when putting them in the back of the cruiser… maybe don’t do that…”* And he got hesitant applause.
*I’m paraphrasing here, but not by much
All talk. It’s good, promising talk, but it’s just talk.
When we see action, I’ll start buying into it. Were Trump to fire Sessions, and Chuck Grassley actually refuses to let the Judiciary Committee hold hearing on a replacement, well, I’ll be impressed. Him just saying it could be a bluff, and like any donkey, Trump is hard to bluff.
